    Default NHRA 4-Wide Nationals



    Anyone else from here going. Im heading up for qualifying on Saturday since Ive got to be in a nearby city to visit some relatives.

    I think its going to be a blast. Ive heard quite a few people who have been to Funny car/Top Fuel dragster events say the sounds of those motors are literally groundshaking, let alone 4 running at once.

    Ill post up some pics after I get back.

    I wish i was. I had to have a flight when they were in Gainesville Fl.

    But that wasn't a 4 wide event so this will be great.

    if you go, make sure to bring some ear plugs, TRUST ME. it's a blast, went to the one in commerce drag strip a couple of years back, got a free shirt and full throttle drink. =)

    Oh yea, I will definitely be bringing ear plugs. Gotta make sure I keep my head on a swivel for free stuff too I guess.

    qualifying yesterday was awesome. It is unbelievable how loud/powerful those cars are. I've been to many diff types of racing events and have never felt the earth shake like that. I got some pics and vid I will post up when I get a chance.

    I was at commerce in 08 to see them go 2 wide but 4 wide must be way more intense.

    if you watched qualifying or espn this morning you probably saw where the two funny cars blew up. It was insane. I had actually moved down to about the 800 ft and they exploded right in front of me.

    I wish I had a vid of that.
