I know the AMA has done a lot for riders and recreational riders. Got to love good ol mid west, you have to be crazy to think riders are destroying the land. I guess the real problem I have with the AMA is their involvement in the racing. Like this last race when they fined Chad Reed for shoving Stewart and his bike off of him. Turns out that Reed had a broken hand from the tangle up. Their has to be some favoritism going on there, they dropped his suspension and fine once they found out his hand was broken, but that call should have never been made. If it was any other riders it wouldnt have been a big deal. I think Reed maybe came out this year trying a little too hard and think Stewart was coming into the season with a HUGE ego.
Now if only we could keep JLaw out of jail long enough to have the endurance to race, bc the guy has the speed. I just wish I could ride 1/2 as fast as these guys. The amount of training they put in is just crazy, I dont see how any of them have any kind of life.

Do you ride? There is a local kid by the name of Jace Lewis, I have yet to see anyone beat him at Bremen. At the time I was a sponsored B-class rider and I though I had a good pace going, I was hard braking into a turn and the next thing I know Jace bunny hops of a braking bump whips it and lands into a rut and goes flying by me. I was awe struck. He did pretty good in the nationals this year from what I was told sometimes top ten.

Pros are on a another level, that really put there speed into perspective for me.

Yes I do ride some just for fun, no racing for me. I have been to bremen, its only about an hour away from my house. I do know who Jace Lewis is, he actually rode @ an arenacross here in Rome a couple weekends ago. I know he won friday night but I dont remember if he or that Tappia kid won saturday. I have a friend that knows him personally from riding for a long time. I watched Justin Barcia race @ bremen and that kid is retarded fast!
We built a turn track (no jumps) on 17 acres that my mom owns and its fun but we built it REALLY tight and it pumps the shit out of your arms! It makes Bremen feel like riding on an interstate lol. There is a go pro video of the turn track on youtube, just look up jody754 or jodylee754 as the host I think. This was taken before any of it was plowed in, it was just grass, loose dirt and gravel so it was pretty hard to ride before we got it plowed up. The dirt has a very high sand content too and you can really only ride it right after a rain. it will hold moisture but once its plowed and riding on it your ruts start blowing out and you just cant really ride it anymore.

That looks like a challenging little track. That would be great practice.

That was a shafty call, but it's an organization controlled by humans it's not going to be perfect. I'm just glad they have some sort of rules and regulations even if they aren't followed as closely as they should be. I think their involvement is needed to keep the sport alive, especially in this economy.
