I wouldn't say everyone else sucks. Chad Reed is still out there but its a shame for the sport Ricky isn't racing James.

To add, am i the only one that thinks of Bubba Shobert before Stewert when hearing that name?

Awesome! I love James. I've known him since he was 3 and in the pee wee class on a 50 in Florida . I also used to hang out with Ronnie Renner and Ricky Carmichael. Ricky used to be a little punk ass, but he would whoop up on everyone in the 16-24 class on his 80. Ronnie never was really much of a winner, but def an amazing rider. My boyfriend was his rival in the B class. I used to get into huge arguments with his dad because he always called my BF a dirty rider. When I learned of Ronnie's success, I was surprised kind of. Probably because back when I used to ride, there weren't really style comps. Just Supercross. People used to wic it out over the finish, of course, but Jeremy McGrath was the shit and he kind of started the craze with the knack knack. People used to go crazy over that shit. Crusty Demons of Dirt had just come out and they were just nuts riding out in the desert. I guess as freestyle comps got bigger, Ronnie he found his niche.

What he finish last race? I seem to remeber him getting landed on in a heat then crashed by Reed in the final last race... Now a rookie is leading the points

I just can't stand the nut riders of stewart! The kid is good no doubt there are some other guys that will hang. I know villipoto is just now coming back from being hurt, dungey I don't really care for but he is looking good. He will have to be a hang it out rider instread of the play it safe Chad reed style. I think one of Stewarts advantages is his trainer. He is using the same guy that trainer GOAT while he was racing. I personally am ready to see Barcia give pourcel some fucking hell!!!! That kid has the go hard attitude and there seem to be a lot of big name lites riders not doing so well at the moment. There are plenty of riders with the speed but not all of them got to gas for 20 laps of all out. Reed seems to be turning soft and is just chasing a title before he is on his way out.

He finished 15th, but it was more due to the wreck he had in his heat that forced him to go to the LCQ... He was only 10th when him and reed wrecked.

Ricky was a much better rider than Stewart. Stewart is really fast but he is not consistent at all, he is usually too busy crashing to win. Reed is very fast but not as fast as Stewart. Reed is just a sore loser, and I lost a ton of respect for him. Anyone remember Vegas last year where Reed ran Stewart off the track to try to take the title? I highly doubt Reeds last run in With Stewart was an accident either, he followed Stewart for 3 laps before he decided to try to pass him with traffic in the way consequently taking the already hurt Stewart out. Ryan D. is doing pretty good, he seems to be a consistent rider but I find it odd that he was a b class rider when he got picked for a factory ride.

It just annoys me when people say bubba is the fastest when he could never straight up beat Carmichael.

Several people have adopted the scrub...

LOL. They have raced each other for years. Ricky was faster most of those times. We can't say who is currently faster because Ricky is retired for now. I'm sure we'll see them competing against each other sooner or later.

RC will never race an AMA sanctioned event. He HATES AMA and frankly I cannot blame him. They are ruining the sport with all of the stupid fines and penalties. SX/MX was rough back in the day, AMA is just good @ making retarded rules. Reed didnt try to take out stewart in vegas, that was a more or less "fuck you" move that he did. If he wanted to take him out he could have. Stewart's team mate on the other hand clearly tried to take out Reed last year at one of the last races. I dont think Reed is a dirty racer, I just think he is trying to shake stewart up a little bit. Stewart never yields when someone goes low on him and someone is going to go down every time. It doesnt really matter though now that Reed is out of the SX series.
You guys race quads? That is quite possibly the scariest/ sketchiest racing I have ever seen. Watching guys it tossed through whoops sections never gets old though!

Ricky Carmichael is/was the best motocross rider of all time. And he truely went out on top, spanking Stewart all the way up to his planned retirement.

i watched RC start in the back with Stewart in the front.. RC caught Stewart, passed him, fell, got repassed. got back up, passed him again and won the race by a haft a track... he never had anything for RC outdoors, which is the fastest, not SX...

I have to agree somewhat on what you have said, but also AMA has done alot of good for our sport as well. They are the main organization actively fighting to keep our riding areas open, and to keep our sport alive. Sure they have some ridiculous rules, but without some of them the sport would be even more dangerous, and likely have even more causalities and injuries for anti-mx/atv organizations to use to their advantage. Also keeping it regulated keeps everything fair, I've seen non-AMA sactioned races playing favoritism when it comes to riding rough. I like to ride rough in the heat of the moment as much as anyone else, but there is a point that's too far, and if I get penalized for it, I know the rules. The AMA is a good organization that I proudly support, not saying everything they do is perfect, but without them our sport would surely be different. Ricky may like to whine about it, but imagine Nascar without rules, people whine about it having too many rules but could you imagine it without them?

I've been racing quads for a few years now on both the regional and national levels and love it. I'm sure it seems sketchy to those who haven't been around it, but I feel the same way about bikes, that shits not for me.

Ama has helped, but there are pros and cons to everything.

lets go ride sometime, I would love to try to keep up.

I'm down basically whenever as long as I'm not off racing. My quad is down basically until the Florida GNCC next month, then the General GNCC is the very next weekend, followed by the opening regionals round, then I BELIEVE I have a week off before Steele Creek... I'll have to check for sure.

I know the AMA has done a lot for riders and recreational riders. Got to love good ol mid west, you have to be crazy to think riders are destroying the land. I guess the real problem I have with the AMA is their involvement in the racing. Like this last race when they fined Chad Reed for shoving Stewart and his bike off of him. Turns out that Reed had a broken hand from the tangle up. Their has to be some favoritism going on there, they dropped his suspension and fine once they found out his hand was broken, but that call should have never been made. If it was any other riders it wouldnt have been a big deal. I think Reed maybe came out this year trying a little too hard and think Stewart was coming into the season with a HUGE ego.
Now if only we could keep JLaw out of jail long enough to have the endurance to race, bc the guy has the speed. I just wish I could ride 1/2 as fast as these guys. The amount of training they put in is just crazy, I dont see how any of them have any kind of life.

Do you ride? There is a local kid by the name of Jace Lewis, I have yet to see anyone beat him at Bremen. At the time I was a sponsored B-class rider and I though I had a good pace going, I was hard braking into a turn and the next thing I know Jace bunny hops of a braking bump whips it and lands into a rut and goes flying by me. I was awe struck. He did pretty good in the nationals this year from what I was told sometimes top ten.

Pros are on a another level, that really put there speed into perspective for me.

Yes it is. I'll be there, looks like possibly on a loaner Kawi from the local stealership.

That was a shafty call, but it's an organization controlled by humans it's not going to be perfect. I'm just glad they have some sort of rules and regulations even if they aren't followed as closely as they should be. I think their involvement is needed to keep the sport alive, especially in this economy.

Just because someone retires, doesn't mean we forget about them.

lets go ride sometime, I would love to try to keep up.
I don't enough about the runnings of supercross/motocross but i'm sure its better than what DMG has done to road racing. The fans seem to be in good attendance at the events and the guys get a good amount of press.

Yes I do ride some just for fun, no racing for me. I have been to bremen, its only about an hour away from my house. I do know who Jace Lewis is, he actually rode @ an arenacross here in Rome a couple weekends ago. I know he won friday night but I dont remember if he or that Tappia kid won saturday. I have a friend that knows him personally from riding for a long time. I watched Justin Barcia race @ bremen and that kid is retarded fast!
We built a turn track (no jumps) on 17 acres that my mom owns and its fun but we built it REALLY tight and it pumps the shit out of your arms! It makes Bremen feel like riding on an interstate lol. There is a go pro video of the turn track on youtube, just look up jody754 or jodylee754 as the host I think. This was taken before any of it was plowed in, it was just grass, loose dirt and gravel so it was pretty hard to ride before we got it plowed up. The dirt has a very high sand content too and you can really only ride it right after a rain. it will hold moisture but once its plowed and riding on it your ruts start blowing out and you just cant really ride it anymore.

That looks like a challenging little track. That would be great practice.

Yeah, with it being all plowed up and good its still pretty hard. We plowed in a lot of tight turns, you would be amazed how much faster you can go and how open a track really feels.
