Default MSSracing WINS Import Face Off ATL sfwd class

We busted our asses the last 3 weeks and it payed off today. There were some good times being pulled and I clicked off personal bests every pass with a 10.37 in the semi finals being the fastest. The car had a fresh build and new parts in the tranny to dial in and we managed to get it done with a lot more power left!! Thanks to Mainstream Performance, Import face off, Josh green, Jody Jordan, and of course my wife and daughter for putting up with my long nights this past week to get it all together!! See you guys in Montgomery in 2 weeks.

yes it surprised me with the changes i made and having to adjust to it. It's got a lot in it but next race is Montgomery Motorsports Park and it can be a downer with the lack rubber after the 1/8 mile! Can't wait to start getting things together for 2010 this winter.

I asked the same question today, though apparently 830whp is a bit too much for a trans designed for a 35mpg grocery getter.

I dont know Hondas, I know a comparable oem fwd Nissan sr trans could handle 450ish without taking a crap every other day. There are people that dynoed 600+, but for how many pulls. Im sure if I had a 1k hp motor, out of ten tranys, one would withstand 1k hp for one pull. Though like I said, I dont know Honda, so maybe yall have 800+whp capable tranys straight off the show room floor.

Ive been using stock gears, not stock engagement, quaife...but most likely ill have a box next season.

I was probably putting down around 700 as i went through the day. 26psi or so, I didn't want to get greedy and throw the race away.

Joe Demaree always ran stock gears and was the Nopi Pro4 champ a few times. He went fast w/ less than a LOT of people (devcon blocks, stock gearboxes, std bore blocks, etc).

yeah but you can get a liberty box for 4,000$, Not breaking a gear every now and then can be the difference between winning 3 or 4 races a year or MORE and winning absolutely none. Liberty is redesigning their box again i think so im going to wait until february to order one to see whats up then. I could end up with a PPG box which i prefer just depends on how much i can set aside for it when it comes time. The dog engagement conversion was the best think i could ever do for my stock trans though!

Congrats Matt. I already told you that at the track but this helps my post count.

Pretty good day seeing how you only really ran 3 full passes and all were within a tenth. Pretty constant setup.
