I just realized the Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT2 will not be there this year.

anyone see the Mclaren SLR

yup, we shared a private test day a couple of weeks ago. then got a real close up look and talked to an acquaintance at TRG about it.

they said the Street car that was there was faster than the race car because its restricted

in out right speed yes. on a racetrack with the same tires, no. it races against porsches, volvos, corvettes, vipers and mustangs. all highly modified though.

To answer a few questions and have a few updates....

The Jag IS at road atlanta, but no one has seen the car. Word is they were going to run one practice and the qualifier and if the car didnt do as planned, it would not see the race.

The picture of the BMW and the spec 722 is not because a BMW is keeping up, he just got passed. They combined the TC and GT field for practice sessions.

As for the crash, the wreck was in T2. The car flipped more than once (said to be 3 flips) and hit the fence ripping it right of the concrete wall. Scott is ok and no damage to the wall.

they were showing the footage at Marions today. looked bad.
