lol yeah, i have doubts that your car and that h prepared car have much in common. but prove me wrong? i was just stating the fact that as your car sits or with the plans for it that i have read on here, it will not be a competitive car.

and why wouldnt you get a miata? theyre CHEAP, light, reliable, and rwd. they have already proven themselves in autocross and road racing MANY times.

I'm not hostile, I think it's cool he will race, I was confused on page one, then was just stating his car and a national winning HP race car aren't the same.

But I do think you should put a Busa motor in it and a one piece carbon fiber body, run it in a Mod class

You compared the two cars, not me. I was simply stating that the car can be competitive. I never said what I may do to the car and I never said what class I was shooting for and I never said that the CVCC was DEFINITELY going to be the car. This was all speculation and assumption on you guys part.

I don't want a Miata because I don't like them. That's all it is. I never said anything about them not being competitive. Another assumption from y'all. Later, QD.

Yeah, the guys that usually post here just throw aside personal preference for the top possible setup. It usually seems like the winning opinion here is the only option.

So again, have fun and don't be discouraged.

Hey now my first race car project was a 81 Accord....lol...you don't see that winning ANYTHING

I like unique cars racing that aren't the norm. Only reason I chose a Miata is it's easy to build and effective.

Good luck with whatever you run I am sure we will see eachother

    That's good.

What all are you gonna have to change on your car? I know you like it slammed but are you gonna keep it like that?

i was simply stating that the car can be competitive. i never read where you said they werent competitive, nor did i say it to try to prove you wrong (of what, i dont know). another assumption by you.

and actually, you HAVE said what you planned on doing to the cvcc (in other threads) and that you CONSIDERED autocrossing it, and i wasnt wrong in saying that it would not be a competitive car with the plans you have written about on here.

This is what I read in your post (#31):

"the cvcc would be cool, but not competitive if thats what youre going for."

    Maybe I read it wrong.

If you plan on building the CVCC, I would say coilovers (ground control/eibach springs, koni shocks) swaybars (maybe suspension tech rear), bushings, full exhaust/intake/header/ECU. And the run some 13x8 wheels with kumho 710's or hoosier A6's. Then put in some race seats and bam! you got a kick ass car.

Oh well yeah if he does that, but I say keep CVCC, like I said GSR would probably be too much in that light car for autocross. But damn that'd be fun

And the cvcc probably wouldn't be competitive unless you dropped it into a mod class - and even then that's a maybe (although if you through enough $ at it, anything can be competitive).

A gsr swap is almost out of the question due to the size of the engine vs engine bay on a cvcc and then the front to rear bias would take a LOT of work to sort out.

IMO, 240sx in STS and win nationals! :P

I'm pretty sure I know how MY car would fare with whatever I were to do with it and how I would set it up.

Well if he is running in a CVCC, i really doubt that he will have 20-25k to spend on a 240sx. And yes, it would cost that much. ask the guy from a few years ago who did it. I would get a EF and build it. You would probly spend half of that....maybe. haha

I could say the same about your Miata. But it wouldn't take near $25k to get the Civic competition ready. Besides, I find it humorous that every single person in this thread is still ASSUMING that I am talking about my Civic. Later, QD.
