My personal favorite era was the 80's to early 90's when the Superbike was yet to be invented so it was down to prototypes like the Honda RVF750 to change the way a sport bike looked like. But post 93 it was WSBK rules.

Oh and Polyphony Digital's Tourist Trophy has some of these machines in the game.

Damn I bet thats something to watch. I don't think I've ever seen a endurance race for bikes run at night. Do you know what Americans (if any) are competing this year?

nope, his school is pretty pricey, i did Ed Bargy. Only pro i've ever talked to is Josh Hayes. I was at little tally for a track day 2 yrs. ago and he was there riding with his gf. I knew he was coming up behind me, and i grabbed too much throttle out of the carousel (clockwise, old config.) and kind of bucked a little. He came around and signaled me to follow him for a few laps And showed me some better lines. He is probably the most down to earth pro out there, and rides with a lot of heart. Needless to say, i'm a big fan of his now.

Good story. Im wondering if Josh is in the FX and Supersport series because Honda doesn't have an answer for the Yoshimira squad.

I don't know. He's had a pretty rough season. We can only hope he gets the nod soon.

Yeah, winning a race as big as the Daytona 200 and having it taken from you for something you had no part of is terrible.

Yeah one of the earlier times I went. The last time I went I saw Scott Russel sitting a few rows down at the Supercross race.

Wow I never knew that. I've been into streetbikes since before I could walk. He was one my favorites with I was little.

I question why the motorcycle industry hasn't come up with a system like that for street bikes. I mean, if a quick swap system works so well on a motorbike that is at the limit the whole time and stressing the components as much as a race bike does, im sure it can be implemented on the street. To add, enduro bikes crash better. Not in the sense that frames are different and the fairings still get messed up but in an 8 - 24 hour races a crash can happen and if it does the bike usually comes out better than it does on the street. I feel the motorcycle industry should sell things like frame sliders from the factory. Also i know the Goldwing has an airbag but sport bikes should have a small one behind the gas tank to protect the pelvis.

Side note....i know they dont do a lot of these things to save money.
