Default Anybody know what kind of Ford this is?

Here's a link to a pic of Vaughn Gittin's new FD ride on a different site.

    http://www.drifting.com/forums/showt...248#post213248

Is this a new Mustang body look? Anybody know any details.

Looks killer, but I've never seen it before.
This isn't the worst summer I've had around Savannah.

I don't know about drifting in that car but it does have a hard time not spinning.

Sorry but knowing what a Ford GT is just means you are SOMEWHAT knowledgable about cars in general, not a Ford fan

I hate ford as a rule and knew the GT's when it was still a design study. In the hands of most of their drivers the car sucks. Several have been on the track with us and I have yet to see one be able to run an entire weekend without breaking or the driver giving up with some weak excuse. I should not be able to pass a car like that on the outside of a turn.

For most of the people buying them, sadly that is all that matters. They only drive it a few times a year. Many of the Elise owners are the same way, I can't tell you how many people scoff at us when we mention we track them, not just put it in a garage and wipe it with a diaper.

Yeah but a car doesn't make the driver. Not everyone is on that level of driving talent and experience are the most important things. When was the last time you been to a Ferrari track meet only to realize 99% of the owners are all talk?

I know the car doesn't make the driver, its quite obviously the other way around. I've been passed on several occasions by "slower" cars and I've passed some myself. Its just sad to see people take cars like an Elise that were bred for the track and park it in a garage and worry about getting rock chips. Its people like that who are making Lotus add all these frivolous options. A Lotus should only have power and suspension options, if you want anything else buy something else. I've been to a few Ferrari track meets and again its sad but many of the Ferrari's were built to be very fast and trackable GT cars. Go to a Lambo track day, you'll find more people who are all talk than a presidential debate.

^True. I love exotic car track days, like 3 people know how to drive the rest are fun to watch. Ferrari Challenge is by far the best racing out there, VERY entertaining lol.

Search the MC12 Top Gear he is my hero. Buys a MC12, takes it to a track in the snow, DRIVES it there. Gets the front end beat up with rock chips, even taps a wall. And he says it adds character to the car, it should be driven.

In Robb Report a couple months ago there was a article in the car of the year, a guy chosen to do it owns TWO Audi R8's, and test drove one that RR gave them for the judging. Well he loved it, in fact he has NEVER driven one of his OWN. He just bought them because they look nice. WTF?!?!?!

And to not see the very obvious "GT2" class sticker on the car. It's an ALMS car. Go to Petit LeMans, it very well may be there.
