i thought it would be cool for peugeot to win, but i wouldnt have wanted them to win just flat out, thats not a good race. with all that happened during the night/day over there, it was well deserved

INSANE race, first time I actually felt Audi really earned a win, they had a hard fight! I was up all night watching. Sad Peugeot didn't win but DAMN they fought hard, especially driving on SLICKS. Best Le Mans I can remember in YEARS!!!

yeah, it was definetly worth the staying up all night and watching. i cant believe peugeot stayed out on slicks the whole time. i thought that was crazy! they kept getting closer to each other then audi would lengthen the lead. it was awesome. i think the tire choice is where they messed up tho, Audi definetly new what they were doing. i normally get tired of audi winning all the time. but they definetly proved why they are the best this year. i cant wait till next year with the new car. supposedly its supposed to be a closed cockpit car. interesting!

You talking about the cut slicks or later in the race?

I personally was talking about when they stopped and had that GT car in the way and never changed tires, just fuel.

ah ok. i know that they dropped the whole rules change for the cars to start looking more like street cars and im assuming the acutal change is more in disccussion now. i still believe they would do a close cockpit car tho. more along the lines probably of the peugeot or something. wouldnt you think? i mean look at all the closed cockpit cars that popped up this year at lemans.

congrats to Kristensen. 8 times is awesome.

LMP1, Very hard fought race for Audi and was great to see them win. Experience over speed

For LMP2, prosche takes it which made me really happy, love the car.

LMGT1, congrats to Aston. Great to hear them win on Gulf's 40th. Would have like to see Corvette take it tho...

LMGT2, GOOOOO RISI!!!!!! great to see an ALMS team take it. Sad to see what happened to Flying Lizard in the start with the contact with patrick long. better luck next year...

all in all good race. I think next year will be one for the records. You will see Porsche in a closed cockpit LMP1 car, Acura with a LMP1 car (thats all ill say), Dome coming back, and a real battle between open and closed cockpit cars.

That race was awesome. Caught the first hour and from 3-5am slot. Great strategy by the Audi team. Nice win.

i was listening on speed and they had a choice between open and closed cockpits. and audi when with whatever one else didnt and what the audience wanted for next year. i dont think theyll go closed for next year.

i dunno there wer a bunch of rumors going around that they were goin to head that way, cuz you have to look at the sucess of the closed cockpit cars, and by 2010 the ACO wants all lmp cars to be closed cockpit so they might as well

well look at the aero advantages. the peugeot was doing 225mph on the Mulsanne straight. Like I said, look for Porsche with a P1 closed cockpit along with a P1 car from Acura...
