just because you are drifting doesn't necessarily mean you are baking the tires at maximum angle around a corner... that is just for show... I know for a fact that I can drift faster through some corners than gripping... I read something about this a while back in an article about Grip vs. Drift that I wish I could find... it was basically talking about the G's on the front tires and how its less when drifting than while gripping so ultimately you could go faster while drifting without understeer.... and it had something to do with the angle of the car and the momentum at that angle plus the force of the rear wheels at that angle... I dunno tho... I'm just gunna keep doing what I do...
