ive come to learn IA isnt exactly drift friendly but ive found a couple people who like it but are not close @ all.

i have the free tires and large lot to practice on... just looking for a few people to help each other build portfolios for various sponsors and such.

proven fact that driftings been around since RWD its quicker to drift a turn than to brake and turn.

Ok, NO IT IS NOT faster to drift a turn. I can bet some SERIOUS money on that.

i would definatly agree with this statement.. maybe if you cant drive its faster for you to drift a turn but go find someone who can really drive and they will spank you in a turn.

Hmm, I think there are many variables innvolved. I can see in some cases where drifting would be faster, such as hairpin turns.

If you were to grip through a turn there are many forces acting against you, where if you are sliding, static friction overcomes kinetic friction. So it just seems logical that sliding would be faster through a turn. I'm no physics guy so correct me if I'm wrong.

Lol, Watch Initial D. AWD is king when it comes to road racing!! Grip FTW!

Drifting looks cool though and I agree, the hairpins would be easier if you can slide at a very fast speed, but a car that can grip into the turn and shoot out of it will be fastest

hmm. i going to have to say ur a dumbass. i never see F1 cars drift and they are the fastest road race cars in the world. Can you explain?

im going to need some driving lessons. it seems like my whole life ive been driving incorrectly. i need to start drifting the corners right? can you help?

well yeah... this is real stimulating.... im gonna go do research and stop bitching abotu whose rite or wrong...
and to the F1 comment. "why do they not drift" because they are designed to be low wide and fast there cars aren't even in the same class as a street car grip race.

we can see how fast you get arrested on the road for driving an F1 car in 2 lanes, however i dont think your getting hassled in a RWD car.

therefore i say (F1 = totally out of grip class (there more like super car class)
