Yeah, like everyone has so bluntly pointed out, drifting is difficult with an automatic unless you simply unsettle the car a ton with rapid weight transfers to get it to slide. You need intense control over your revs along with the ability to kick the clutch to really get some slip angle goin' on. This is really true even if you're just trying to rotate a car through a corner and not exactly "drifting."

Also, if you're going to drift, please don't on the road. Go to a track or even an empty parking lot (the latter isn't legal, exactly, but it's much safer). If you mess up on the road there's a good chance you'll die or kill someone else....which is of course no good. Spirited driving, sure, but drifting is not a public road activity, really. It's too "knife edge," or at least it seems that way. V-Empire seems to have a good place to smoke the tires a little. Rock that ****!

Some more good news is you've got a pretty nice car there. 300ZX FTW. Go get yourself a miata on the cheap or in trade for your car if you wanna get sideways, otherwise you can cruise in style and still enjoy your car on back roads just fine.
