    Default Accident during race....

good tip, should be stickied...dunno. i figured this would be the best section.

we were discussing at work today about tracks and wrecking...and what happens? you have to call the insurance company and make up a story. Cus if your on the track and wreck, insurance company isn't really going to like that. Also, if you do wreck there is a chance SOMEONE is taking a video of it. Why is this bad for you? If your running with your license plate on the car and they get that in the video and post it on the net, the insurance company might find that video and not give u jack squat.

So the tip is, remove your plate if your going to go racing. It could save you a lot of trouble.

Getting stuck with fraud is much worse than just taking care of things and accepting the risk of running a street car.

Dumb idea. If your gonna go to a track, accept the fact you can wreck. Dont try and make insurance pay for it.

This is one of the dumbest threads I've read in a while.

Let's sticky something about committing insurance fraud. You're what gives car enthusiasts a bad name. You're also one of those ppl that drive honest ppl's insurance premiums up because of insurance fraud.

Here's some better advice; don't wreck your car or don't race it if you can't afford to fix it.

orrrrrr, if you want to race, but don't want to accept the risk of wrecking your car...

take it to an auto-x event, knock some cones over and don't worry about wrecking into anything.

Ballers track their cars, average joes auto-x

    insurance fraud ftl, auto-x ftw

They sometimes will cover it as long as the event is drivers education, but if it is a timed track day the chances of insurance footing the bill are zero

Insurance WILL cover it, as long as your not competing. Like just a track day.

good for you. My insurance company dont like me. we have allstate. They arent very helpful. Some1 ran a stop sign and hit me, and my agent was like "O'well". I'm thinking of going to State Farm, I heard they are great.

What happens is some roockie racer total's his car then they just make up for the lost by making all of us other good driver's pay more So i dont care if i got to get lawyer's and other bs something happens to my ride there paying that all there is to it.

I remember my 1st car was a 1998 aur and they charged me 320.00 a month for a fucking family car come to think about it it was allstate and my parents are still wit them but not me i love my progressive

you signed a contract with your insurance company when you obtained coverage waiving their liability if youre on a race track. a lawyer cant get you out of a contract that you signed!

I never signed a contract saying that Nope not at all so go ahead and start talking bs about how they will not pay and try to run my words down i have had plenty of friends that has total there bikes on the track and got them fully paid for so i am sure that car's would be as big of a deal as a bike.
