springs, not "coilovers" but springs. ebay, sure they are a spring, hard to **** up leading to failure but proper performance probably not. but again, hard to **** up a spring.
"coilovers"
a spring with a shiny thingy (aka aluminum perch) gets easier to **** up. cheap/thin metal = break, uncoated sleeves = rust into place etc. bad idea all together imo.
now what you dont want to hear since you are shopping on ebay.
if you want to get into racing then you need to quit being such a cheap ass. theres no problem with being a cheap ass, just to an extent.
if you want to get into any form of competition basic maintenance is rule #1.
make sure your car is in 100% lexus certified pre owned condition. no rotted bushings, no fluid leaks, no ghetto ****, good oil pressure, cooling system etc in good shape.
then start modding from there.
imo tires 1st, if not a performance oriented wheel/tire package, which can consist of used aluminum 15's you bought for 100 bux from the junkyard and some cheap performance tires or something, not HRE's and hoosiers like everyone thinks for starters.
then get some sway bars/brake pads/clutch/real coilovers etc.
if you want to know what to run specifically, actually go race your car and you'll end up meeting people that will personally be more than happy to point you in the right direction.
