    Default 94 ls flywheel recommendation and questions!!!

    Okay buds. I got a few questions.. I just ordered a stage 2 comp clutch and I want to get a flywheel too. But idk what to do I've sen a couple dif one. 7lbs 8 lbs 11lbs.. but I wanna go turbo in a few months or so but what would be best. To get I needa order one by Sunday iso I can have it in next weekend. Thanks for ur imput please fill me in on what to do!

    I say 11lb or something around there. If your going turbo I wouldn't go too low or it will rev too fast.

    I would agree with brooks. Too light and it revs to fast not giving the turbo enough time to properly spool. A 11-12lb flywheel would still give you decent rev while you are non-turbo due to the stock one weighing in at ~20lb and when you go turbo it will also give the turbo enough time to properly spool.

    How much of a difference is it going to make from stock?

    Here's abother fireball.... I found a xtd 12 lbs flywheel for 125.. but on the spec it says for dif models NA.... all the flywheels I've seen say for only naturally asprirated lol... ahh

    depends on alot for how much diff it will make; for my k20 with type s tranny, i could really tell that it was 100 times better with a 7.5lb flywheel.

    if your going turbo keep the stock flywheel and resurface it. a lightweight flywheel wont help any at all it will hurt you (lose torque). I ran a stock itr flywheel on my old turbo setup that came out the coupe

    nah ive used one get a chromoly flywheel dont mess with alluminum ones

    If your going turbo, I would just use a stock flywheel. I would have put a little more money in and got a CC 3+ or 4 clutch that's going to hold some power. I don't know how much power your trying to make, assuming 300+.

    yea always buy more clutch than you need bc you never know when you might decide to make more power

    Lol.. thanks everybody for imputs. Preciate it a lot haha. I think ima stick with the stock and get it resurfaced. Buttt... I don't have the big boy funds to do anything too major soits all good!!
