    so tell me this isnt freaky? Im at the gym working out tonight and there was about maybe 15 or so people in there. I get home and have a message on myspace from some chick talking about "Hi you dont know me but ive seen you at a party once with my friends. You looked sexy as hell working out, what hours do you usually go to the gym cause i sure wouldnt mind watching you" This is weird as fuck how does a complete stranger ive never seen in my life find me on myspace???????!!!!!!!

    it's doing good...plan on tuning it within the next week or so

    and for trell coupe i think i can figure that problem out

    hey quick question when your running a b20 vtec what head gasket should you use i've heard just bout everything and i dont know what to tell people whats right or wrong??

    stick with whichever type of head you use.

    GSR = GSR headgasket
    B16 - B16 headgasket

    make sure the head is level, or risk premature headgasket failure.

    You want to stick with the head type as to which gasket you're using. If you use a B20 headgasket, it will not have the correct oil port holes, and it will interfere with the coolant passing between the cylinders. Either way, 3mm of your headgasket is exposed - it's something you have to deal with. dowel pins, however, are a different story. I'd suggest buying the GE conversion kit since they include custom dowel pins and save you from having to machine the head to the larger LS diameters.

    I would just buy the GE ls/vtec kit would come with everything you need to install that vtec head. I believe earlier you said you would be using a b20 block, is that correct? If your using a b20 block then I would get the head gasket that they sell which is a vtec head gasket bored out to 84 or whatever bore you would like. Plus you get the dowel pins as ash7 mention along with everything else to do it the RIGHT way.

    I put this guide together because I'm tired of seeing the SAME threads over and over of simple questions that can be answered in one simple post like this one. This thread is designed to be an end-all, tell-all type thread. Please keep in mind though, that this is still just a general guide. Lsvtec/b20vtec engines are not honda manufactured engines. With that said, there are hundreds of combinations you can build.
    Also, please be aware that this guide is assembled on an intermediate level, and anyone reading this guide can perform all of the steps outlined.

    Let's begin. Now, there are a few NECESSARY things to do/parts to buy when building a "reliable" lsvtec/b20vtec:

    -LS/B20 (same) ARP rod bolts
    -GSR/ITR (same) ARP head studs (NON-B17)
    -New LS (90-01) B18a/b (for 81mm) or B20 (for 84mm) head gasket (MLS) or aftermarket for your non-OEM bore
    -New ACL bearings - LS/B20 (same)
    -New Hastings piston rings (or OEM)
    -New OEM D/Bseries (same) valve seals
    -New OEM Dohc Vtec Bseries (B16/GSR/ITR) 22T water pump
    -New OEM P72 GSR/ITR timing belt (not B17)
    -New OEM P72 oil pump (96+ GSR/LS/B20/ITR/B16 - all the same)
    -Magnetic oil drain plug (important for break in)
    -New NGK V-power BKR6E spark plugs (stock LS pistons) OR NGK V-power BKR7E spark plugs for 10.0-12.0:1 compression, or NGK V-power R5671A-8 plugs for 12.0:1+ compression
    -Adjustable Fuel Pressure regulator (necessary for stock ECU/injectors)
    -In addition, you should replace all remaining gaskets and filters

    Note- "same" means that the listed parts use the same part #'s from HONDA/ACURA.

    i got a question . say you swap a obd1 gsr in a obd1 dx eg and everything plugs and play but vtec doesnt work but it worked in the teggy you took the motor out of . do you have to run a wire from the selinoid straight to the ecu because the wireing harness inside the car isnt vtec ? thanks .

    Nice info but it does seem like this post says that you can use stock b20 gasket if so how would the oil transfer be proper. maybe i just sound dumb
