so i got my new car home after 4 hours. lol....bad part is it was only 5 miles away. 8\
bought a coupe from PJ, got a tow dolly finally. got the car up on the dolly then my jeep overheated. FAIL.......put water in it, got 2 miles, and it over heated again. lol. bad leak. got it home, gutted it. cleaned it. now dropping the blown motor out today and putting the new one in. 8)

why would a car burn oil at high rpms(just a little bit) and would smoking after high rpms be a cause of the oil? Is burning oil like really bad or is it ok to just add more when you have to?
My ls did it... On road trips it would burn more and if i got on it... It would smoke around 6k rpm... Its always better to get it fixed but for know, u can just add oil as u go. Just keep an eye on it

Even a brand new engine will burn a little oil, its not a perfect system. However not at all as you are describing.
Sounds like it could be rings, valves seals, or valve guides.
yeah see im not gonna get the car then cause i dont want to be SOL later down the road
you wouldn't nec be SOL....now james for example. his car smokes bad bc of piston rings and possible valve stem seals. both problems can be fixed and you don't have to take it to honda to get it fixed. it shouldn't totally discourage you from buying a car.
now if you just don't want to have to worry about it at all and rather be safe and not invest the money down the line then your right, dont mess with it. lol. piston rings can be replaced but is not the easiest process. you could hire paul. lol....valve stem seals are easier but still very difficult.
yeah and i dont have a lot of mechanical knowledge so i wouldnt even begin to know what to do

for whoever posted wrapping there headliner in suede what spray adhesive did you use? im gonna wrap mine tomorrow probably, but with flannel
need to use contact cement and not that spray stuff . that spray stuff wont hold very long

Well i got the door panel off and was looking at the back of it to see how to get the handle cloth insert thing off but there is no screws to remove?
how do i get it off with out breaking something

My bad now I remember, u two guys had got over for me to merge and then got back over and got off on Moon Rd exit. Haha, yeah wish I could. Got to Kuwait yesterday and I am finally getting oriented. All is good, aside from all the dust and sleeping with about 40 guys in this tent we're in. I got a pm from some guy wanting to trade a R32 Skyline Type M for my Evo. I got a laugh out of that, cause if memory serves me correctly Type M's are not even RB25DET, they're SR20's. I was like yeah I got 542 to the wheels and I am going to trade it for an R32 (pre 1993)? I told him come off with the car plus $20k. He'll probably laugh, but I don't have to sell the beast. But if someone had a good offer yeah why not? But not straight up for an R32........Anyways, I will keep you all updated as much as I can. Supposed to be here for a few days.....

i used the spray on glue crap from walmart and it held up fine. I just caked it on there. Lol
yeah but i mean the insert? i heard of people having to melt them off cause honda melted them on there from the factory?
I drilled the plastic rivets out to remove the insert then you screw them back in with short fat plastic screws. Make sure you use a good adhesive and good luck, its a bitch to get it right.... I worked on getting that suede right for about an hour on each piece.
