    Default Some minor body work...

Sorry for the horrible pictures. My dad has the digital camera with him in Vermont.

My car was hit by a care-less lady at work. She tried to blame me for it. I was parked on the curb behind her. There was a good 4 car lengths between her back bumper and my quartar panel, so she had plenty of room. I also ponder how she was able to miss a bright red car that was parked behind her... On a perfectly sunny day. Oh well.

She crunched in the panel, looks like an elephant sat there. There was a giant crease, and the metal pushed all the way back. They had to cut out the panel, and replace it with a brand new one. They're also going to paint that area only. I was pushing and hoping for a full repaint, but no. They painted from the front of the door, all the way to the tail light, and up the C-Pillar, almost to the roof. I'll get some more pictures when she's out of the shop on Tuesday or Wednesday. Dude buddy claims that she's out of the paint booth, and just needs all the glass re-installed.

whoa, hope the paint comes out even.

damn, I would of researched a different locations to see who I could get the best deal from to include a complete paint job.

one of the site sponsors here did me solid with a custom color change with the cash from just a crushed fender, front bumper and CF hood a while back.

All State was paying for everything. I had to sweet talk them into letting me take it to Honda Carland's body shop.

Being married to a man who has graced the floors of many bodyshops and has dealt with adjusters more times than he can count.....I'm pretty sure that it's your right to choose where your car goes. Especially when the accident wasn't your fault. I would've brought Allstate the estimate from the shop of my choice and made them cut me a check. Really does suck though. It's not fair that they gave you crap when all you did was park your car. I guess that's what you get for being in her way, though.

hrm, im surprised at where they stopped on that body line and didnt go up on the pillar at all. i would've just gone ahead and replaced the whole quarter panel, but to each his own i guess.

    hope everything turns out alright.
