Please tell me you are kidding...

You realize that engine was a piece of shit lawnmower motor thrown into a 3500lb car for the purpose of fuel efficiency and emissions? You also realize that they threw it to the curb for the 1j just as fast as they originally equipped it in the car?

By installing that engine without completely gutting that car you would be shooting yourself in the foot... Downgrading. They came narrow body with the 1g for a reason. Sure, they produce 210bhp to the 7ms 232, but take a look at the torque, which is essential in a car this heavy. The 1g only puts out 200lbs compared to the 7ms 250lbs... Not to mention an exponentially larger potenial for added horsepower when building the 7m.

You are REALLY better off rebuilding your 7m or buying one from an engine importer. Unless of course you are going for the jdm tyte homosexual thing... In which case... go for it.

Then you can buy a gt foxbody mustang... throw the motor in a dumpster behind your local publix... and "upgrade" to the 4 cylinder.

    Do some reading:

I just got a 7mGte i made a build thread under toyota's section. I know i did some thinkin and i figured, that 50ftlbs may not make that much of a difference in theory but soon as i start modding its just going to be a waste.

Yeah that was a clean supra you had. Is that Pearce that had the red MKIII with the sunroof that bought yours?
