most guys with cobras that are making the power that S2000 is swap to an 8.8 inch solid rear. They left the mounting tabs on the chassis for the 8.8in rear on the cobras with irs so that it would be an easy swap. The IRS cobra rears break too. That's why the new mustangs, even the Shelby GT500 are running a solid axle, because IRS was such a huge disapointment in the Cobra's

I didn't think about that.... Swapping to a solid axle on the S2000 would be pointless i guess... It would never handle right again... whats the highest HP andbody has ran through a 240 rear end? I've seen some 240's with SR20's wthat have over 600hp and My guess is that they are running the stock rear end.... you guys should put together a kit and sell it to people with s2000's who have problems with the stock rear end.

I believe Mazworx is running low 9s with 1,000HP in their 240. Who knows what rear end they're using though.

i'd be willing to bet the stock carrier/bearings/ring and pinion with an upgraded diff.

They are using a modified nissan rear end out of a non-turbo the last time I checked with Mark and they are running a 300z tranny set up. It has to maintain Nissan parts for them to stay in a street class.
