Pics of the progress for today. Put the headlights back in and the grill. Sanded alittle more on the front bumper and filled in a few of the cracks. I should have pics of the wheels tonight, the chrome lip is being polished and they have to be cleared. So heres 2 more pics:

Sounds good Should be painted by this upcoming weekend. The gtr front is completely done with the exception of the N1 lip kit, which is still being prepped. But the car is almost done so ya, I'm down for meeting up and hanging out

"wider" are you a GT driver? Can you handle "WIDE" body setups? What roads do you drive on to need such setup?

I wouldn't have been "hating" if you were "restoring" the car, or getting something within the specs of the original car, but you're doing a "Skyline GT-R" Conversion on a Skyline GTS-T?

    Let's take another analogy...

You have an Integra (random 94 body style)

You make it look, act, and even have the same engine as the Integra Type-R, but guess what, there's just some things from factory that you can't duplicate. Ahem, chassis, suspension setup, actual build quality, and a number of things.

So do you even know the difference between the Skyline GTS-T and Skyline GT-R? AND Which year Skyline GT-R are you talking about?

well lets see, besides the gts is rwd and the gtr is awd, the gtst is an rb25 single turbo the gtr is rb26 TT. The gtr is wider and longer, the gtr has black housing headlights and the gtst has chrome, the gtr has a taller spoiler, the gtr has adjustable coilovers, the gtr has an extra gear, the gtr guages go to 320 kilos while the gts goes to 180. The advantage of a show gt is I can go staggered wheels as opposed to the gtr being awd has to have the same offset all the way around. For what I want to do with the car I just couldn't see spending an extra 15g's for a true gtr when I can take a gts and make it look the way I want it to look.

    and it's the R33 gt-r, I personally like the R33's better than R34's

Oh and to clear it up, it's not getting the GTR badges, it's still badged as a GTSt. I'm not trying to hide the fact that its a gtst, anyone who knows anything about the cars could tell just by popping the hood. I just like the way the gtr's look

Ok, from what I collect from what you said, 'keebler'

    - You are doing a 'conversion'
    - You want to put a handling beast on a trailer, never to be driven
    - You want a trailer show queen
    - You aren't going to drive the car that you spent "over $20,000" for

Sounds like a clear winner to me! That's the way cars were meant to be! Sitting in the back of trailers and not driven at all, just bringing to car shows ant letting people 'look' at the car. You are amazing, sir. Simply amazing.

Ya that about sums it up, $20g's isnt really that much money... Plus look at some of the classic cars, those guys spend $40grand+ restoring them never to be driven. Not everyone wants a car to be raced. I know plenty of people with show cars that aren't driven. If you can't grasp that concept then oh well, I'm tired of argueing my point with you. I spend MY money on stuff that I want, which includes a car that I don't want to drive, that will sit in a garage probably 350 days of the year and be trailered to a show and sit at te show 15 days a year. And will be cranked maybe once or twice a week. Don't like it, oh well. Go out buy a skyline of your own, drive it to work, to the mall, to the mountains whatever, let grandma too-blind open the door to her crown vic and put a nice ding in the side of your car, or whatever. Doesn't matter to me, that fact still remains that I bought a car that I will never drive, that I spent 20g's+ on, and another 10g's+ on work thats being done, and building the engine for about 450whp even though I will never drive/race the car... I know that concept just blows your mind but it doesn't matter to me, because its what I want to do. So like I said be stfu and get over it, or gtfo.

I know how you mean with the GTR's looking better! I'd probably do exactly what you did if I had the car and money to shell out! I'd drive it though because any skyline (in the u.s) with any amount miles will be bought........too many people think it's Gods personal chariot to not try and grab it once given the chance!

' DRIFTSTARSYN' - double post in caps. so you are the idiot with the rb25 in your car? you can't even get your car running right, so how do you expect to race me? I was there at the event and talked to your ignorant ass, you have no idea what you are doing with your setup, just another idiot with money. So what you are saying is - you will race me in the mountains with your Maroon S13 with the RB25 that doesn't run right, and you can't seem to drive right at all? Sure. Let's do it.

And about "classic" cars and "nice cars", from what I recall, most of them restore to 'factory spec' and not make it look so much like another model or car.

You are making your car cry by locking it up in a trailer and it can't run free.

Sad to see another car wasted to a car show whore. Whatever floats your boat with a hole in it, have fun with that.

PS: I love the ignorance on the forum.

I know PLENTY of people who take fastback mustangs and make them look like gt500s or fieros and turn them into lambo kit cars, there are always shelby replicas for sale for 10x more than I could ever sell this r33 for. My car can cry all it wants. I'm not one of those guys who believes that cars have a soul of its own or whatever. Its just metal and urethane with lots of wiring and vacuum lines. And I can do whatever I want to my car, I paid for it therefore I do what I want to it. If you don't agree with it then oh well, like I said go buy one of your own and do what you wish with it.

Fuck yeah, you know it. You're so gullible.

If you really don't think the car has a soul and that it is just a piece of metal, then why are you owning a Skyline, seriously, you have just contradicted yourself through this thread.

If you don't have any real sentimental value towards the car, why did you buy it? Just so you can take home a trophy?

    It's just a Skyline.
It's not even old enough yet to be anything special at a car show.

So back to my original thought...

Just buy a damn civic, and heavily modify it, because you're going to score way more points at NOPI, you ricer.

Just buy a damn civic, and heavily modify it, because you're going to score way more points at NOPI, you ricer.
But that takes me back to the original problem, a fwd d16 vs rwd rb25, lhd vs rhd, skyline vs civic, and if you haven't noticed, 50% of nopi is civic, ther's only 9 registered skylines this year and I know damn well I'm not bringing home a trophy from Nopi. The judges are paid off and the car won't be finished by then anyways. Why are you spending so much time in this thread if you're so much better than everyone. You've spoken your two cents, which is about all its worth to me, so leave go have a nice life. Tokyo Drift into a tree or something, doesn't matter to me. As I said before nothing you can say will change the fact that I'm fucking around with a gtst to make it look like a gtr. And whose to say I won't go buy a civic and make it look like a R34, sounds fun, I might actually go do that tomorrow

Current Toy: A few classics, maybe a few imports too. Whatever

R33, sadly the only legal version here...my least fav. but it's still a skyline nonetheless. Too bad you don't turn it into a track beast like it was meant for. Then agian, if that was the case then you would probably get a differ(better) version. Even though I'm not into all that comestic make-over. Trust me, I've seen so many in the 240 community with their S14.5, sil-80, and all the other waste of money bullcrap. Don't get me started on useless engine drop(RB in a 240). I guess just do what you like and be happy with it since it's your car.

Think about what you just said, moron.

You put any engine that is inline 6 with twin-turbo into the S13 and it will be 'actually pretty fast'
