Let me know when you are ready to pull it back out :)
Damn, you got it to sit back alot further than I thought you would. It looks good in there.
yeah there was a lot of work involved in cutting the subframe and working the tunnell with a hammer... and still more to come when the motor comes back out. right now the trans is touching in a few places so i'll work that stuff out when i pull it apart to clean everything up and prep for final assembly.
still waiting on exhaust manifolds, harness to come back, mufflers, driveshaft and a few other bits to show up. all are on order and should be here within the week (other than the harness). i need to climb under the dash and connect the wilwood clutch master to the pedal asssembly and start putting that back together with the new cluster while i wait for other parts.
first its 350 240Z's
then its LS1 RX7's
and now we're stuffing Corvette engines into 240's and drifting them... lol gotta love this world
small update:
manifolds and radiator have finally shown up, but the wiring harness won't be back until next week from Hinson. so far they are 0 for 2 with me on parts :(. if he'd kept up his end of the deal i'd have the car running by this weekend and actually have time to shake the car down and break in the clutch (and learn the car)... now i'll be lucky to have the thing running by Nopi let alone broken in.
what rear end are you going to use. The stock one will not hold that much torque will it?

he will undoubtedly blame it on the shipping service, but i don't believe it was ever shipped at all.

I just came upon this thread. Everything looks amazing. Im not going to Nopi, but I would def. like some detailed feedback on how the car responded and performed.
My stock sr is screaming to tandem with ur sweetness.
saw the car at nopi, very very nice great work!
The car sounds sick as hell. Can't wait to see it in action again.

tore it down most of the way and pulled off the rod caps. spun 3 rod bearings on cylinders 1/4/6, with 6 being the worst by far. 1 and 4 were still together, just spun around inside the rod end. #6 is straight trashed

How many miles come on that engine when you bought it?
I come close to throwing a 302 in a rx7 a few years ago.. but found out how expensive it is.. Kudo's on the swap!
Wow thats alot of wear in a short period of time. Im wondering if it hadnt alreayd been starved some when u got it.
