    Default Still Practicing Night shots...

would like some Formal Criticism and Suggestions Plz. Tried to work with the lighting that I had at the parking lot.

I had to edit these so, you could at least see something. I turned down the ISO, the flash, and was messing around with the histograph. But the histograph was like being a bitch... so i dropped that one, LOL. Wondering if I am getting better.

    Was it snowing? lol

Oh man... honestly , your EXIF data is reading your exposure was 1/30sec. Turn it down more. Make sure your ISO is no more than 200. Lower if you can set it that much and DONT use flash!! lol

Well I wouldnt shoot anything in pitch black of course LOL

The problem is in some low light conditions on most cameras it has a hard time finding a focal point to focus on. I wouldnt really shoot in extreme low light conditons though.

If you find me at the varsity we can check out your camera dude.

Remember we told you that last time.

Like George said, you have to crank down your shutter speed. You will have to try different settings until you get the desired effect, but definetly longer than 1/30th for sure.....probably more like a full sec with your cam. That means that you will HAVE TO use a tripod of course. Also remember to lower your ISO to no more than 200. The higher you put it, the more noise it will have.

    Keep practicing bud.

bah, i suck at night shots. Hopefully with the Iso turned down all the way down to 80, maybe the pictures won't turn out so bad. I wonder how the Varsity pix are gonna turn out.. Thanks for the input George and Jaime.

ah, i bet i know why you called me the other night sorry i missed your call. Night shots with a P&S can be a pain, especially in really dim light. Does it have an automatic night shot setting?

That cameras ISO only goes up to 1000. Its a fluke on the EXIF data. I saw that today also, but not even the 1DMarks go up that high in ISO heh. That is probably the ISO equivalent after he edited the photo

It is kind of dark (especially when the lights shut off) but you can get some good pictures. Tripods are your bestist friend at night . How recent are those pics?

Medlock is dark...just as bad as the malibu meet. You'll need a camera capable of an 8 to 12+ second shutterspeed.
