i think it is, the bumper is seperate though and just sitting on top...comes off so it can be trailered.

I'm trying to acquire it, i want a play car...even if it's something i have to pull my engine in and throw it in for a night

Yes, that is a shame that shell is sitting in the weeds collecting leaves and becoming one with nature. Get it and do something with it. Do you think you can get used to driving straight with the only turn coming at the end of 1320 feet??? lol

1) footwork (just to get it as as rolling shell)
2) further strip it
3) 2 layers of rust inhibiter
4) spray in bedliner
5) reassemble BARE minimums (interior)
6) lexan rears, glass front
7) check cage to make sure it's good, if not restrengthen
8) wire up dash
9) engine
10) revamp suspension for track duty
11) KIK ASS

lolol, revamp suspension...see that rollcage? that roll cage is welded to the rear suspension...there is no shock or spring

...zero squat

That's been tried, and is an older way of thought on launching HI HP FWD vehicles. It will still outrun NEthing local, but the big boys have abandoned that technique years ago. It does have 0 squat, but does NOT "push back" (which is proven to give more FWD traction) like the newer techniques (billion-and-one lb. spring rates).

I can vouche for the Lude it was one bad ass car i tried selling it once on ebay back when it was complete for 18,500 and almost had it sold. that woulda been a nice comission.

hah, that's how i was getting sub 2 second 60's on street tires...e-brake, squat...then just as i'm launching i'll slam the e-brake down, rear comes up...dunno if it works but there wasn't anyone that could get me on my 60' time...then i went to kumho 712's adn 711's and 60' dropped horribly.

i wouldnt mind having raceworks del sol. that thing was pretty fast for a del sol. jason why is joey at HMOG? Raceworks close up shop? I havent been on 369 in a while.

This thread is from '06. He hasn't been at Raceworks for at least 3 years now. They are not open to the public, haven't been for a few years, and they just built a new shop.

The Del Sol(s) are for sale, as a roller, complete, parts, whatever your budget is. They had 3 of them at one time but one kinda exploded and melted at Moroso/Palm Beach International years ago, it's amazing what 5 gallons of 100+ octane in the cockpit of a car can do lol!

lol i shouldve looked at the date. where is the new shop? last time i was up there was about 3 years ago. i had to drop off a turbo kit for them to fab pipes for.

stupid question but "not open to the public" how do they make profit?

There's a TON of overhead to operating a shop, not counting salaries of those working. They're authorized retailers for Schroth and a few other products, create vinyl graphics, rent out Formula Mazda's, and have money...they're doing more formula and pro racing now and getting into prototypes.
