so as some of you are aware, I had an accident in my 1989 Chrysler Conquest - the awesome thing is the entire drivetrain ( engine, tranny, suspension and all aftermarket components ) survived with little to no damageSo I thought I'd entertain you guys on the progress of my car as we actually save it as well as another Starion ( Conquest + Starion = Starquest - for future reference - they're the same car ) - modifications on the black wrecked car are as follows:

Stage 1 - get the wrecked car down to Macon to the "guru" a 59 y/o man who owns 3 of these. Labor charges are pretty much free, being that the costs are any left over parts from either cars after the swap ( such as stock suspension and tranny and such - not complaining for a free swap )

held up pretty good for flipping and hitting a tree![]()
Stage 2 - nearly 2 months after the accident, I finally found an affordable shell of sorts in good condition for a VERY good price in the SE region - $1000, flat, including a spare block and a complete engine gasket kit![]()

car has a overheating problem ( probably clogged radiator ) which resulted in a blown head gasket... head might be warped, but finding another head or fixing it is easymight just fix it to get it up and going for awhile before the swap ( use the head gasket in the kit, since the black one will actually need an aftermarket gasket because of the performance mods )
stay tuned for its arrival, and then for next weekend, when we plan on taking out the engines and tranny's and suspensions :idb:
