Picture 1- Good composition but a little underexposed
Picture 2- Picture doesnt show the full bike at all, or any entire portion of it really.
Picture 3- Good composition but the photo (on my monitor at least) seems like the ISO was a little to high?

Are you shooting in an automatic preset mode?

All of these were shoot with Iso 100

The first one, they way the light was hitting it, if I average exposed, it would come out to bright. So this is the closest I got this pic to come out like i wanted it. I tried to use the way the light hit it.

Some were taken in M, Av, and TV.

Nemesis hit the nail on the head with some of them and I guess I will take the overall approach. You are shooting a partially black bike with some bright red in shadows so you are going to have a hard time getting the correct exposure. I have no idea what the fascination is with you guys and Macaroni Grill but you need to head somewhere else to do the pictures. I mean come on man, you have trash dumpsters in the background of a pic. Did you even move the bike around? When I shoot a car I am all the time moving the car into a different position so that I can find the right lighting I need. Don't be afraid to move the car/bike/truck/moped around.

Now you were doing still shots on an inanimate object so there is no reason for the Tv mode. Av mode can give you the depth of field you are looking for but here again the red/black combo in the shadows will throw off the metering system. In this case Manual would have been the way to go and actually had the bike in a different location. A bike like this you want the late afternoon sun to "bathe" the bike in light not hide it from it.

Now some of the pictures look real snap shottish and some are on the right track. What I would suggest is if you want to shoot bikes then head to kroger, Barnes and Noble, etc and look at some bike magazines and how they are set up and shot. And don't be afraid of higher ISO's, I shot all of the autoshow at ISO 1600 with a shutter speed of 1/60-1/125 and they came out really good. The 350D is good up to ISO800 before you start getting a lot of noise.

These were all shot at ISO1600 http://forums.importatlanta.com/showthread.php?t=58777

We all hangout at the Starbuck's up there, and they asked for me to take pic's.

    Thanks for your feedback.

They basically wanted Snapshot's i guess. I just took it further experimenting with bikes. I wanted to go elsewere, but...yeah.
