Night shots were my specialty with the point and shoots (no tripod)! Now I've only gotten one succesful night photo with no flash and it's still a tad bit blurry on 90% zoom

Each person has their area where they are good. Me, I shoot early morning/late afternoon as to bring out all the detail in the car. I like night shoots but I have never attempted them on my own. I also tend to go into areas where the shooting become exponentially harder such as model shoots. The lighting plays a larger role as does the postion of the model. I have been on so many boards and talked to so many pros that I am ready to try it but still lack about $600 worth of lighting and equipment to pull off the shots I want. Not to mention I have to go pick up my new lens next month alsoOriginally Posted by Bballjamal
I will say for good nigh shots from what I have heard is either remote or timer so there is no camera shake. That and a good tripod.
