How much work/editing was done to the pics on the computer if there was any?

Iam fixing to buy another camera, and I want to find a good one.. Im not a pro. but I love photography, and love to take pics.
I checked on ebay for the Nikon Coolpix 8700, and the price is pretty good.. Would this be a good one or not? I love the quality in these pics posted.

The coolpics 8700 is an awesome little camera. This camera is my old one (I now have a canon D-SLR) and the pics it took was great. I am not sure if George used them but I also sold him a tube adaptor and some filters that really helps with some shots. The Nikon 8800 is the same camera but has image stability but also at a higher price. Nikon is known for their glass that they put in their p&s cameras and it is evident here. If you want to buy one off of Ebay i recommend Cameta Camera, they are who I got this one from and were awesome to deal with.

Honestly the 8700 is going to be about the best one in this price range for what you get. If you can find a 8800 that is just a little more then jump on that one since it has the image stability but everything else is the same pretty much.

Clean pics! Is that piedmont park where you're near the water or elsewhere?

For $500-700 couldn't he find a body only Nikon D50 or Rebel (300D). I'd recommend those but a Coolpix 8700 is a great camera. One of the last point and shoots you can get before you go full on SLR, for the price atleast.

While yes you can get a D50 which is a "decent" D-SLR you have to factor in more lenses to be able to accomplish what an 8700 can do out of the box. That was one thing I was not looking foward to when I went to the 350D but I did not have the manual control with the 8700 that I have with the 350D, which is why I sold it.

It actually was right near Phillips. And the parking deck was near Atlantic Station. We bypassed some spots I wanted to try because of traffic and rent-a -cops.
