Don't tell anyone else that. The Mustang platform is still junk in a lot of peoples minds. The next gen is getting IRS and dropping 200-300 pounds(rumored) which would bring it down to 3200-3100lbs. In some minds It'll still be a heavy pig that cant turn. Just because its called a Mustang haha.

Doesn't matter too much what the ignorant bench racers think when you're out in a car capable of beating most other cars on the road at... anything. lol.

Nothing but respect for where Ford is going with their line up. I'm hoping I can get into a 05-10 GT soon. Either stock '10 or hopefully supercharged '05-09 since they're a good bit cheaper in stock form.

I'd dish out a little more and get a stock 2011 5.0. You'll be happier in the long run

Did you see the spy shots of the new mustang with the IRS setup? Looks like ford wants to be taken serious in all categories. They've been making a big push into the track scene lately

Ford Racing has done well with their s197 platform. As for road going Mustangs the solid rear Boss 302 and GT500 handles its own very well. More of the market is going to IRS and caring about comfort, feel and theoretical lap times around tracks 99% of car owners will never drive on, let alone see. I dont mind feeling every bump on the road while im driving my toy. Thats just my opinion.

I am excited to see how Ford goes about making a global Mustang with their next gen.
