So I needed a daily driver, it seems everything I try to keep and drive I end up modifying to the point of absurdity. I picked up this super minty clean one owner gem with 202k miles on it for $2500. It's a 2001 BMW 325i Touring 5SPEED manual. Car was SPOTLESS and looked like it had 30k on it. Drove around with it bone stock for a while, great comfy car, ice cold AC. Then the obnoxious bug bit me, and the following happened. Unfortunately I don't have pics of the car in stock trim.

I picked up some 19" Varrstoens, 19x9.5+24ish, 19x11+25 in the back

    Test fit on stock suspension

I bought some $460 coiloversoff Ebay that included front adjustable height coilovers, rear adjustable springs, and front sway bar end links.

    She was looking pretty good

Then came the L.E.D tails, the aftermarket front turn signals, the red emblems, stickerbombed mirrors, and a bunch of stickers to help the little inline 6

    Car- $2500
    coils- $460
    wheels- $900
    tails- $300
    corners- $40
    stickers- $50
    red emblems- $35

    Total- $4285

A purist, if you're referring to me, maybe so. My opinion (on what I can see) has nothing to do with purity, though.

For someone who claims to have or had a list of nice cars listed below and to put ebay coils on a beamer, something is not right

Lol the $50 on stickers was just a funny reference towards it being a power mod. I have quite the collection of stickers from parts etc.

The list of vehicles are CURRENT. As someone stated I did not care to spend a penny more than necessary, this was my initial intentions. And the fact that I can just pick a car to do this too if I wanted too on a weekly bases, should clear all fishiness you speak of.

Just don't hate, it's not a good look. Love hearing opinions, but hating on it why? Tons of people like it, a lot don't. But for under 5k total, it got me 30mpg all the way to FormulaD, gotta give some credit.

I have ~200k in the current vehicles, I'm not eating Top Ramen. This was fun to do. I enjoy it. It's different and love the cargo room.

Misusing the word "hate" doesn't help your debate, my friend.

Again, not being able to see but only two of your pics, I can only go by those, but what you've done to the car is far, far from different.

I'm not being serious when I speak on your sticker usage...

Wasn't saying you we're broke now. Just saying that you sunk a bunch of money in some nice rides, no need to do that to a daily beater. I was on your side.

I'm really not trying to argue with, man, but I do see this car about a hundred times a day. And that's just in stock form. With yours, and I'm not trying to be mean about it, it looks pretty much like every other modded (in similar fashion) Bimmer. I don't see a difference at all.

Ahhhh. Didn't realize it was a wagon. The only pics we can see are the last two. The wagon part, I can agree with as far as not many out there, but the modifications done are a dime a dozen. But you gotta do you no matter. I'm just the farthest from being a fan of stretched tires with the poking wheels and stickers all over a car. It does cheapen the look of the BMW.

I agree on all accounts. Only being able to see the last two pics I cant really comment. BMWs are everywhere.....and yes wagons are everywhere as well. At least it's not sitting on BBS RSs with tires too small and too much negative camber.

I think I like the broken links better, man, lolol. If you had proper fitting tires and none of that crap on the mirrors, this car would be the shit for real, dude. Those are the only two things, in my opinion, holding this car back from being a respectable looking Bimmer.

Lol I kinda feel the same way guys that was half the reason for all this, you don't see funky stuff like that on any of my other cars but when you have the ability to do just do something like this real quick, it's fun. The car turned out better than I thought and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

I don't really see why people have to step in tell others to basically "stop posting their own opinions" and "to do whatever you want to do." Seems like that is already known and if opinions weren't wanted, then the thread wouldn't need to be posted. That's part of what brings threads down.
