Default CHADBEE PHOTOGRAPHY: My 350Z goes from stock to this...

Sup guys, I haven't been on here forever. Figured I'd stop by and post some pictures of my Z as I just did a super awesome photoshoot in hopes of getting an internet blog feature which will make me famous because I just got some of them new offsets, nah meeaaannn! Bring on da "haters"!

Most of you are too lazy to ready all this but I'm going to post it anyways.

Last summer I searched for months to find a 350Z that met my standards and eventually found one at a large dealership in South Georgia. It was a 2004 Touring Edition equipped with the six speed manual transmission with 32k miles on the odometer. The car had one previous owner who had bought the car new from the same dealership that she traded it into for a new Challenger SRT8(this was a multiple manufacture dealership) and it had a perfect Carfax report showing regular oil changes at the dealer. The car was exactly what I was looking for and the perfect track day project for me to get started with HPDE events.

For the past 10 months I have left the car in stock form except for Carbotech brake pads and constant fluid changes using Motul products. Last summer I was able to drive the car 10 days on track and decided instead of tossing aftermarket performance parts at the car to produce faster lap times I wanted to learn the car and become a better driver. I made a promise to myself I was not going to modify the car until I was able to do a 1:39 lap time at Atlanta Motorsports Park, which is a tall order for a noob driver as myself. With some help from my friend Ed, basically calling me a ***** and telling me I needed to man up(is this how all driving instructors operate?!?) I was able to click off a few 1:39.XX lap times during my last event of 2012. This was done with a stock 350Z on all season tires, I was pretty proud of myself.

Now that I had achieved my goal I finally felt as the car being stock was holding me back and it was time to install and aftermarket part or two.

In the past two weeks I have installed the following:

    Suspension
    -Tein Street Flex Coilovers
    -Stillen Sway Bars
    -Stillen Rear Camber Kit
    -SPC Rear Toe Bolts

    Wheels/Tires
    -Konig Milligram 18×9.5 +25 x 4 (Made using using Enkie’s M.A.T. Technology Wheel Process | 19.6lbs)
    -15mm Z1 Motorsports Spacers/Extended Studs(Rear)
    -275/35/18 Michelin Pilot Super Sport x 4

    Brakes
    -Napa Blank Rotors
-Carbotech XP10 Front/XP8 Rear Brake Pads
    -Stoptech Stainless Steel Lines
    -Torque RT700 Fluid

    Drivetrain
    -K&N Drop In Air Filter
    -Wrinkle Black Intake Plenum
    -Z1 Motorsports Plenum Spacer
    -Momentum Performance Cat Delete Y-Pipe
    -OEM R35 GT-R Exhaust
-Competition Clutch Stage 2 Clutch and Ultra Lightweight Flywheel
    -Motul Fluids

    Interior
-Kirk Racing 4 point Roll Bar
    -Sparco Pro2000 Seat
    -Schroth 6 point Harnesses
-Forged Performance Shift Knob Powdercoated Matte Black

    Exterior
-Matte Black Center Bumper Section and Roof
    -Rolled Rear Fenders
-Chadbee Photography “CB” Decal (Best mod EVER!)

This winter I’d like to get my hands on a set of OEM Brembo brakes and install and aftermarket steering wheel.

I know the car isn’t a huge build but I really am enjoying the car a lot more now and am looking forward to getting it out on track soon. Because I am so happy with the way the car turned out I had to charge up my camera battery and take the car out for some proper photos. Enjoy!

    Looking great Chad!!!
You should come to Thr Dragon with me sometime

I'd also suggest running some autoX events too, they'll really help your reaction times when it comes to at-the-limit control.

I'm hoping to hit the Dragon next month. I also do plan on doing some Auto-X events this year....they are cheap and give you a place to really push the car.

    looks sick!
I'm guessing you never sold that baller coilover setup you had? Why didn't you just throw it on that car?

I finally got some wheels too, a couple of days ago. I got some Varrstoen ES1s, I think they look good and staggered.

I sold the JRZ's....they would have been awesome on a car that was fully dedicated track vehicle but for a street car that sees one track event a month on 300 treadwear tires they were just complete insane overkill.

    *looks at Ohlins on Miata*

Naaahhhhhh...it just give you more room to grow.
I am jelly of your seats. I would LOVE to get some nice snug seats for my car, but they're sooo expensive because I can't just toss in any race seat as most are too wide and don't fit well. Would love some Lotus ProBax seats...but kaaachingy. You be surprised how much better you can drive and how much more you learn just by being in a good supportive seat and a harness...it really allows one to feel what the car is really doing under you and allows you to concentrate on what your arms and eyes are doing.

Oh I know...the factory leather 350Z seats were KILLING me on track. I got a second cause of the seat I'm sure....I was having to brace myself against the door panel; with my left knee and was just sliding around the seat non stop. It sucked.

OEM catback is 2.25 inch and the GT-R catback is 2.7 inch and it weighs 14 lbs less than the stock 350Z exhuast.

    .......and it sounds badass lol

I have been thinking about that lol but then I'd need to bust open the headlights and do the same there and I just don't care that much.

Thanks Andy....well the thing is LOL I drove around for 2 hours the day before looking for a spot and it was a total waste of gas and time. Then this day I drove around for an hour looking for a spot and couldn't find anything I was happy with either and was becoming pretty frustrated so I ended up settling for this spot and it worked out a lot better than I thought it would.

You're just spoiled being in Macon, there are so many great locations there.

    Thanks guys.

I'm putting my OEM R35 GT-R catback system for a 350Z up for sale. With my catless Y-pipe it is just too loud for my home tracks decibel limit and if I can't track the car there is no point of owning it. The exhaust consists of 2 foot custom section behind the Y-pipe using a Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator and goes into the GT-R exhaust then to turndown tips under the car.

    $550 picked up from Conyers.
