Yes i added the blur. I also have a 50mm 1.8 but the problem you run into is by using a low f-stop the depth of field is so low that your camera is going to focus on the front bumper. So like 1 foot to half the car max is going to be in focus. I was using a high f-stop to get the whole car and then just added the blur so that your eye focuses on the car itself. I dont like to take pictures of cars in a parking lot and have like 4 cars be in focus when your trying to showcase just one.
I drive a 350 so im partial to them. The pictures I take are cars that I like... I find myself bored to tears and not enjoying the whole process when I take pictures of cars i'm not interested in. Don't worry, if you would go to C&O you will see that there is a TON of old rich men with Porsches and Lambos to look at. They are really nice and expensive cars.... they just don't spark my interest.
