It's a cool idea, but it's hard to get people to spend $30,000 to go very slow. The running cost is cheap and it's a brand new car so should be reliable and fair competition but...

I hope it picks up, I'm a fan. Grand-Am dumped it but say they will look it over again later, hopefully it gets big in SCCA, it's not cheap to run the WC weekends so even some of those guys can't run a full season of it but if it gets big enough who knows what will happen. I thought it would be HUGE when I first heard about it a few years ago.
