damn. this is what i aspired to be like in 2003. but i never had the money to fullfil my dreams.

i had dreams of white leather interior white 17" wheels & a body kit (which is as far as i got) i never got to complete my interior.

my car ended up going down again deserpate times called for desperate measures so i sold my rims for dirt cheap and my bodykit.

but then during my slump i noticed times were changing in late 04

Hah that CR-V is nuts. Interesting to see how styles have changed...how most people would claim to vomit at the sight of such cars now.

One more thing the new generation will never really see anymore......FINE women having a good time and partying with everybody.

I remember plenty of them that would give guys a run for their money drinking and doing wild stuff.

Like I said, I met a fine young lady when her then BF (now Husband) called her up and said, "Hey girl, get your butt up here and win us some money...".....and she did! That was the wet t-shirt contest on the back of a flat bed semi at the racetrack in Gainesville. They're some of my best friends now. Funny how things work out.

I never got to party at the hotel during the Nopi Nats, but I've heard the infamous stories. Those guys would stay up all night partying, but would get up bright and early to get their rides prepped to go in to Nopi Nats. True commitment back then. Don't see that much anymore. Hell, I dreaded freaking Pablo sticking his damn hand up my tail pipes and deducting points......fucker!!!! Hey, but it made me clean my shiot the next time. He wiped his dirty fingers on my score sheet too......fucker!!! Another one of my boys too. Again, funny how things work out.

Good ole days......I miss them in a way. A lot more work, but a lot more fun too.

So because he is younger he automatically doesn't like vomit inducing vehicles? I am a full 6 years older than he is and in 2002 and to this day would not even give a 2nd look at most of the vehicles in this thread. They are mostly terrible. Terrible paint, terrible interior, terrible mods and engine bays with more color than the rainbow. They induced vomitting in 2002 and they will continue to do that.

Even this forum has gone to the more 'clean' look. There are many a Honda Civic on this forum that I would drive to and from work. It wouldn't suit me as a track car but I certainly would not turn my nose up on driving it. The 'rice' has mostly died off. I see one a week right now.

The 'show scene' is not really all that dead though. There are still owners that are dumb enough to bolt, screw, glue and weld on as much point stuff as they possible can. Even on bimmerforums there are a couple of guys that have 'show cars' as they call them and they are absolutely terrible. The idea of 'Let's tack on as MUCH stuff as possible' is still alive and well.

    Damn....
This is by far the greatest thread Ive ever read on IA. Real talk from real people.
Those days will never be relived, however, never forgotten. Those were to days of massive groups of friends getting together and helping each other for a common goal.
Not just within a particular club, but within the scene. X-Rated helping PI helping ECI helping International AllStars.
Its was a blast while it lasted. We all knew it wouldnt last long but we put forth all our efforts to do it.

Now to whore mine out, LOL

Thank you for that compliment. We can never forget where we came from in this hobby. Nor can we forget what we've done amongst ourselves. I don't think there will ever be another crowd of people to gather together with NOT ONE INCIDENT like ours. The MOG Toys R Us meets where we literally had over a hundred people every weekend with the cops only riding through to have their fucking pictures taken with us. Like you said, everyone helping everyone. Nowadays too many people have a chip on their shoulder and "something to prove." Later, QD.

Yeah, that was the worst parking lot and getting the cars in the studio SUCKED!!
Photo shoot was awesome. I probably had the ugliest girl but she had the biggest tits.
Jimmy B. and Matt (Silver Beetle with flames) had a hot chick in their cars, if I remember right.

I'm kinda glad I have moved on.. cause life would be lame if I called my self a car enthusiast and owned an Integra, dropped and SI wheels and look like the other 3 million econo boxes rolling around the USA saying they have a clean ride.. lol!!!!! +1 AGAIN!

Back in the day, stock wheels were on our cars no longer than it took to drive home and buy them from when we got the cars.. now the "cool" thing is to put a set of stock wheels on?? WHAT????

i didnt even keep the stock wheels on my suburban or tahoe, and jsut upgraded to big rollers.. i would never put a stock wheel on there, and call it "upgraded" LOL!

i came into this hobby late. a buddy of mine who used to be on here had an old 89 prelude with a body kit and exhaust. he along with all the OG's and the way they built their show cars made me love imports the way i do now. Im young, not going to lie. only 22, i didnt get the chance to be in those days of xrated, prefected images, wTn etc. i wish i did. i came in at the but end of it. I see cars with body kits and and i still love them. cause honestly thats what its about. doing what you want not what your budy standing next to you thinks you should do.

Im with DO, i know thins will never be the same as far as style goes. but i wish the fun, brotherhood that everyone shared during that time would still be around. personally i don't like being around a lot of people on this site cause of the stupid shit that everyone takes personally off this site. does that make sense? no but shit happens. i dont know if any thing like what was back then will ever happen, but i hope it does.

one of the nights I will always remember is racing Julio down at Commerce a few years ago...I barely beat him but we both gave thumbs up at the end...I too have grown out of the car scene being down in FL the last 9 months...it just ain't what it used to be years ago...

That's a hypocritical statement, lolol. Everyone these days pretty much follows everyone elses trends because everything that can be done to most of these cars have already been done. There is really no room for originality now. Later, QD.
