what is c&o? Both cars are heavenly. the blue is just plain filth. i would sleep in it every night if I had that. Im still angry at that magazing who picked the ZL1 over the GT500. GT500 is on another level plain and simple. 90% of people would take a GT500 over a ZL1 i bet.

lolol I've read that article about 10 times over, basically it came down to the price difference.

Theres a couple youtube videos of people running stock pads with only changing brake fluid with zero fade issues. The stock fluid in the zl1 and gt500 is not ment for the track.

I loved it but in the end it was 10 years old and almost 100K miles. It was an amazing car but the '13 is an upgrade in every single way. Even with the 2.8L Kenne Bell I had on my '03 the '13 is hands down a better car.

Plus seeing how the market for the '03/'04s are dropping I wanted to get out of it. If it was a low miles car like 30K or so I'd probably still have it. You can grab ones close to 100K for around 15K now. They are usually trash and have been upgraded/maintained with the cheapest parts possible but the market in a whole for those cars is slowly turning to junk.

Absolutely, even in the 7 years or so I've been looing I've seen them drop almost 10k across the boards in price. I can find them right at $20k for <50k miles, stock. That was UNHEARD of 5 years ago.

The price as tested in higher but if you just want a decent handling car with goobs of power the base msrp GT500 is less than the zl1. Which the magazines or zl1 faithful never take into account.

Never ran it at the track. The guy I sold it too had it at Zmax in NC the very next day and I honestly dont remember what he was running. 11 something at 129mph. I remember the mph but not the 60ft or et. I lost touch with the owner and Im not sure where and what that car is up too now. He was good friends with a 5.0 Magazine editor so he told me to keep a look out since he was going to be in it but other then that I have no idea.

Again a big fan of the 13's for the new enhancements....better handling, 5.8 and the extra 112hp doesnt hurt...thats crazy w/some bolt ons you were able to make an extra 150 whp out of it...any planned track time to see what it scoots down the quarter in ?

No plans of yet. I'll try to fly down and bring it to a C&O Sunday meet come spring time. I havent driven it since these pictures. Been busy with work in NY and I keep the car at my parents in GA.

Hahahaha thanks! That was a video of my 2003 2.8Kenne Bell Cobra. I dont have any of my 2013 yet. I dont get much time to go drive it unfortunately.

I may bring it up to NY for a few weeks in the summer and take it around Watkins Glen. I haven't decided yet.
