That's my favorite jetta body style. The GLIs look amazing to me stock.

Very nice looking car, my friend.

Of course everyone knows the first gen body style is the best, lolol. At least I think so.

But this car looks good, dude.

Although I do like the style of the MKIV, the 1.8's have their share of issues which draws me away from them. If I were to purchase one, it'd be a 1.9L TDI with a GLI kit.

The 1.8t is a pretty solid engine if left unmolested. The Audi 1.8t has won "10 best engines" award like 3 times, the VW 1.8t is basically the same exact engine.

my gf had one. Nice cars. I did hate how the tempature was always 1/2 up not 1/3 like most hondas lol. It just bothered me even though it's perfectly fine.

It is. The 1.8t just has so many engine codes for minor changes done between models/model years.

We got a vw bug for my fiancée, it's a 1.8-turbo. Not sure if its the same, but it has a little go on the highway. Very roomy also. Love the way your vw sets, very nice.

they have a tendency to build up gunk in the cylinders even with regular synthetic oil changes, plus be sure to change timing belt/water pump by around late60k miles or around 7ish years. when they go its all over. bent valves and in some case even causes the lifter to break
