No...I didnt think it would be necessary since I was going to install 20's on the car and still planning on FI this winter but I wont be tracking it HARD. Just causal driving and tracking it every now and then. I will admit the parts are VERY LIGHT but the 370z parts are already somewhat light, as you know. Also I dont have access to a scale to weigh it each time I swap out a part.

Anyways, besides all that the car looks great. You just can't call steel and plastic wrapped in a single layer of carbon, "Carbon Fiber". I guess that misconception just erks me because it's like putting racing numbers on your door in vinyl.

The car gained weight from all carbon added but nothing that actually replaced a component.

Actually I can say carbon fiber is cosmetic considering I am the co-founder of carbonfiberelement.com and that's what our business specializes in You know more about my business than I do it appears so please educate me further. There is a market out there for INTERIOR PARTS. HOWEVER, I did clearly mention to you that the EXTERIOR PARTS ON MY CAR "beside the ROOF" are REPLACEMENT carbon fiber parts . The interior, such as door switches, console, steering wheels and panels had the padding and cloth material removed and a layer of cf so the weight difference is basically equal. The exterior is LIGHTER since the parts are LIGHTER due to being REPLACEMENT parts. Considering the 370z is mainly made of aluminum exterior parts, i would consider the fact that me shaving a bit of weight exterior wise is an accomplishment do to the already light component parts. And i was being a tad bit sarcastic in regards to flying off the "ground" smh incase you thought i was being serious, I apologize.

Second fake vinyl carbon fiber is applied to new motorcycles from Yamaha and Suzuki do you know why... because its a cosmetic option to many. Why else would a manufacturer decide to apply such. Regardless of your opinion, its simply your opinion but there's a HUGE market for carbon fiber in terms of cosmetic options. 90% of Seibon parts sold are sold for cosmetic reasons. FYI

Again, lol Who said I didnt replace parts. You guys seem to have a difficult time reading posts because I did mention the whole exterior is replaced parts EXCEPT the roof but okay.... Picking on the guy with a carbon fiber dream its cool. Reminds me of highschool

why dont we all go pick on a sick 600-700 hp Porsche that the owner made into a wide-body... "Brah, thats stupid@! You made the car heavier by adding a widebody kit." Righhtttttttttttttttttttttt same metaphor that's being used in my thread. I love it.

Why is it ricer? O.o Moses is building a show car pretty much, as well as advertising the company and its abilities, and he's making the car look awesome in the mean time. Seems pretty effective to me, the opposite of ricer.

Maybe he will track it in the future. Never know!

anything silver and white is THE hardest to match, your painter can probably get it 85% match if hes good at tinting, just stress to him to make a lot of test sprays and you'll pay for that extra materials they use, its worth it. but at certain angles esp, under lights when its kinda dark you'll see it, but for that hatch, lol you might as well get an all over paint job, got any dents//rock chips on hood + front bumper? fuck it get that bitch painted all over to a color you want. Or just get the hatch as close to silverstone and then wait till you get CF hood//amuse front bumper to get it painted all over.

This doesnt make sense.....if there's nothing wrong with doing aesthetics based modifications, why's there a problem with him using the carbon fiber for an aesthetics based modification?

Using Carbon fiber for looks has been going on for a while, ha and I dont think its comparable to interfoolers

+1 on good business decision, though.

The previous owner of my Z put carbon fiber replacement parts for the interior. shit looks wack, it don't even look like carbon fiber looks like a fucking checkerboard lolol.
So i think im going to buy some CF sheets to wrap these in. but thats later down the line, i got other shit infront of that. Billet370 you all apply CF sheets or just sell them?

    1)
You and I come from a different spectrum of the aftermarket industry. The carbon products we produce are 100% carbon. Not wrapped plastic molds or fiberglass. They are performance based in nature and we've done everything from real CF/Kevlar roofs, exterior panels, air induction N/A and F/I, Dragster bodies, interior dash and center consoles, etc etc. for people in ALMS, Grand-Am, NASA, and so on. We aren't going to agree as to the purpose of Carbon so no point in arguing about it from here on.

    2)
The exterior parts on your car are plastic/fiberglass wrapped in a single layer are they not? Do you have an autoclave in house?

    3)
90% of Seibon parts are sold to people that have no idea what they are doing. 100% of seibon parts are marketed to people that watch to much fast and the furious.

Regardless of any of this. The car looks great. There's no denying that.

Lol everyone in this thread would grab that up in a heartbeat if they could.

I think this one is on the ricey side:

If you look at it like an art-form, i think the red 370 is just dope- especially considering that he laid/resin'd up the CF himself (assuming).

Definitely different than 99.99% of 370's out there.

From one Carbon Fiber business owner to another, I love it. I love every aspect of Carbon Fiber from the aerospace tech to the visual appeal of the Weave. I use the CF for both purposes. We make everything from tables for Frontdesks at Hotels to Underground gastanks for Citgo. I Love it . The 370 is a great platform for showing off your work. I personally like the two tones of the car, my personal car is the same way some wrapped and most made from all CF. (Yes, we use an autoclave... They are not that big of a deal. ) Someday we will have to takes some pics of our cars together.

they are deep empty pockets right now lol. I try not to redo modifications once installed like most people. Ive seen friends go through 3-4 different sets of wheels, 3-4 different kinds front bumpers, etc. I like to do everything ONCE and that saves a ton of money right there
