Default Me and Mrs.- Mrs. Jones

We got a thing going on.

3sgte enthusiasts will see what's been done, otherwise it's pretty stock. The loose and missing bolts are due to most of this being mocked up. Can't get enough of this one, unfortunately no cover, fan, insect relief... I can get enough of, so it's going slowly. That and money. It seems like I need quite a few $1,000 items, lol.

Gotta get a break from the LSX stuff, haha. We saw one pass by Steak n Shake as we ate today, and one in the neighborhood. Otherwise I have those thoughts too. Makes me smile!

Haha, I thought the 90 degree coupler was going to be a problem with the wastegate and the wideband to ac compressor clearance, but luckily it all worked great!

Pretty sure it's an ATS... not positive, though. It's not much of a kit anymore. I'm making my own downpipe and intercooler piping/route.

lol. What's there to understand or not understand? I really like the car and it's treated me well... so we have a thing going on. Normally, cars are referred to as females, due to high maintenance and being attractive (so I've been told), so Mrs. Jones just fit.

I know of an old school R&B song of the same title and was wondering if you were referring to that. If so, I was wondering if there was a connection with that to the car. That's all. Nothing more, nothing less. No drama intended.

Late 80's Celica GTS (3sge 1st gen) intake manifold, intercooler will be under the trunk, exhaust is coming out of the right quarter panel, and gt35r. Going to get a MSPNP and 5s top feed rail with something like 1kcc injectors (for now). Kinda stock. HKS 264 cams and I assume supporting valvetrain. Stock bottom end, though.

What do you plan on putting down? I would be worried about that bottom end and/or cracking the cylinder walls if you go over 400.

Stock gte rods are good to 450whp on pump, crank will be good, and the block will definitely be good. Planning on pump gas for low boost, until I can get bigger injectors/rail for E85, then try for 500whp. We'll see what will and will not hold, but I have confidence in the engine.

I just know they have a tendancy to crack the cylinder walls if you don't run a 5s bottom with 3s crank. I am building a gen 3 for my mr2 right now so I'm not just talking out my ass...

Didn't mean to come off any kind of way, I'd just rather see what this can do. I have a spare 3s block/crank in the shop if something happens. I planned on doing the 5s block down the road, just no time soon.
