    Default Mommy car.

After self consideration... and after my accident... I figured I would stick to the hatchback look and go for something more sleek and easier to handle. So... i decided on this baby! I do apologize for the small smart phone picture. It's the only one I have (for now) until it becomes mine as we finalize the paperwork this week.

Is that the impreza or outback sport? I'm pretty sure they've become identical.

I cant even tell what kind of subaru it is. You don't state what it is, the pics are small, no info about the car(tranny, miles, deal you got, packages, trim etc..), wtf was the point of you making this thread?

It's a 2012 Impreza with 167 miles on it.. Manual, black leather, fully loaded. The price was set at 25k... And i traded in a 2005 Chevy Malibu for trade in value at 9,800 talked dealer down on price to 22k. Payments aren't as high as I thought... insurance is. But nothing i can't afford

Nothing like some new future income to help with a car payment! Very nice looking car though. Ive thought about purchasing a sedan several times.

All my bills arent too bad. Especially when I live on my own. Houses up here are fairly cheap so I am renting now. My utilities are all included so it's a set $640 then my car payment and insurance. Being grown up is fairly easy when you're single

Didn't think I needed to give every specifics of this car. It is a WRX STI. However, I am hoping it's still mine by Friday. Paperwork is a beach!

considering i havent seen a 2012 STI for under $30,000 , you got a pretty damn good deal.

In that case, nice pick up.

I just don't understand why you make a public thread about a car you got but seem to hesitant to give out details like we're asking for your SS number. Typically stating the trim is the norm unless it's very obvious which it is not here since you need a microscope to see the car in the picture. Whats more is that you have to already know that and are withholding this information for no damn reason making things more complicated than they should be like a typical female. Well, carry on.

2012 STI with under 200 miles on it for 22k isn't a good deal, its buying the car for thousands less than the dealer paid for it.

Personally, I wouldn't make a thread about car that "could be" mine. I'd wait until it was a done deal. Later, QD.

I thought only the STI came in the hatchback? SHe also said she had a trade in for 9500?

22000 is cheap, but its a 2012, maybe this particular dealer wanted to move it because of the 2013s coming out? Maybe its a dealer car with 167 miles?

Im gonna go ahead and call bullshit because the numbers just dont add up.

A 2005 Chevy Malibu even with 80000 miles has trade in at $5500 MAX, NOT $9500.

A 2012 STI with that low of miles , books for mid 30s, i dont see how you talked a dealership down to $22,000 (10-8000 OFF) AND got almost double what your trade in was.

My bet is its just a WRX, NOT AN STI. WRX comes with a hood scoop according to KBB.com, and its listed Dealer price is $25,000.

    So, in conclusion
    1) Either you found a dealership that priced an STI $10,000 less than anyone else, and then gave you $3000 off that, and gave you double on your trade in

    or

    2) You got the model wrong (WRX, NOT AN STI)

If its really an STI, let me know what dealership ill come trade my S2000 in TODAY

Based on the style of the wheel from the small picture provided, my first assumption was a base WRX.

I would think she would know...

STI logos are everywhere you look in that car. Not that you can tell from that small pic, but it would be kind of obvious if it's a real STI in person. However, if it's not... May save you some money on insurance.

Yeah it says STI everywhere. But she may not know the difference, ive met a lot of people that think WRX= STI

All STIs are WRXs, Not all WRXs are STIs.

For the price she paid, the mileage, theres no way its an STI IMO. If it is, let me know, i will go buy one TODAY and sell it and make $10,000

I am confused on the paperwork thing though... Every car I've ever bought from a dealership, I walked in, test drove the car, haggled the price and walked out in under two hours with said new car. Never had to wait a couple days, again just my experience and it's not like I buy new cars that often.

I hope you factored in the maternity leave and the loss of income during etc etc etc in your financial planning on making this purchase. I'm sure you did, as it's kinda hard not to know your 8 months pregnant... LOL. But I would hate to see you get strapped financially because of a car. Too many people, too often buy way more car than can afford. I'm not asking for you to explain your financial state, just make sure you are making the right decision not an impulse buy.

Now go push that baby out!
