As hard as i try, i cant get to like this car, it is fast, it is wow, it is your pride and joy,(thing that i respect) but to me it just look like a hacked up Miata with a V8 betwine the frame rails, and thats it, i really admire your hard work and your dedication, but sorry i dont like it at all. sorry. but dont get mad it is just my opinion and like an ass, everyone got one.
    Good luck!

    Cool buddy,

Hell but, i can give you couple of ideas and i think they will improve substantially the looks and function of your car,
Again this are just a couple of ideas that will improve the looks of your car and make it more completed one, if you like em you can perform them, it will be fun as hell!

    1st.
I think a side covers similar to these ones here are cheap and easy to fabricate, they will improve the overall looks and will act as bottom rail cover, very stylish IMO.

    2nd.
Front fascia cover or finish exo-front end, again will improve dramatically the looks and will protect your aluminum radiator.

    3rd.
A Gas Tank like this one will add more looks and it is esthetically more appealing. Easy and cheap from Speedway online catalog.

    4th.
This one is more for looks to complete the back empty section behind the roll-bars, again it will improve the looks dramatically, IMO!

a rear cover for the gas tank is in the works right now. should be finished by the weekend

front May or may not happen. still have to test fit the bodywork

this is what it should look like

    IMG_2370 by Flsimages, on Flickr

i have the lower side panels on now, and a dash panel of sorts over the top of all the wiring

there will be a full roll cage when it gets to saudi, and the wing mounted off said roll cage.
it is nowhere near done, just almost mechanically done.

As all the suggestions keep coming I can only assume everyone didnt read. This car was built in a few weeks. He literally pulled everything he could use from his drift miata and dropped it in the exocet chassis. The car was completed and running and he was shipped over seas, so hes just now being able to get his hands on the car again. Ive yet to see the car in person but driving a miata powered one was a bit tricky with an open diff. Im sure driving his would be an absolute workout. Glad to see youre finally able to make some final touches on it, im sure its gonna come out looking great!

    Cool build!

For a miata-like platform, the 302 works great. Lsx/t56 is quite a bit heavier, and a waste of money IMO. Sure, the LSx CAN make more power, but you would never want that much in a small car.

    Yay

Axles and rear end are in
Mounts for the fuel cell are welded into the subframe. sits super low.
Making a new clutch line out of a toyota t-100 rear brake line and two hardlines to replace the stainless line that sprung a leak. gotta make something work.

    Tomorrow:
Make straps to hold down the fuel cell
Figure out what is grounding out on the chassis making my throttle cable get hot and melt the cover?( WTF right?)
    Fluid in the trans
    Start this bitch
Swap out the front tires with DOT slicks

    terrorize the beach.

last time i went, the guy at the entrance told me that if i got there early enough i could go in through the gate with the other cars and trailers, but i'd have to go through the tunnel if i got there later and i'd have to exit out the tunnel if i left early
