Default The 2012 Walter Mitty Challenge @ Road Atlanta

The Mitty this year was great for many reasons, for me, I set up a vendor booth to support the Leukemia Research Foundation who we teamed up with last year on the Neon. The Robertson's loaned us their Ford GT "mule" car for the weekend which was a beautiful sight and GRM/Classic Motorsports provided us with a vendor spot. I greatly appreciate the hundreds of people that stopped by and talked with my girlfriend and I, we got a lot of donations and met a lot of cool people.

Setting up Thursday, they drove the car over and dropped it off, I couldn't sleep all weekend leaving the car just sitting there. lol

We didn't have a huge banner or anything, many people didn't realize why the car was there, but having the car sitting there drew tons of people in to chat with us. I'm glad I arranged it to be there!

We had a small table of items that quickly ran out but luckily our donation tube kept growing.

    Onto the rest.....

I absolutely love those Lotus Carltons. Also, looks like a few of those corners got pretty crowded. How many cars did they have on the track at once?

Depends on the group, anywhere from 10 to 50-60.

That cool that they lent you Ford. Murry's son races go-karts. Met him a few times, he's a real nice guy. Nice to see a race car driver of that level wrenching on his little boy's go-kart on the weekends at the track.
