Default New wheels on my prelude *FWD STAGGERED CONTENT*

So I've been waiting on my tires for a while now, they finally arrived saturday. I had to raise the rear of the car about 2" because it was scrubbing. I'll be rolling the fenders very soon and lowering it back down a bit. But for now, it's monster trucking.

    Rota D2's 17x7.5 +20, 17x8.5 +25

    Federal S-595's 205/40/17, 215/40/17

And here is why my car rode like crap lately. I was on borrowed time...

    UPDATE

After some fender rolling/tab cutting, I was able to lower the rear of the prelude again, finally!

yeah it's not cambered in at all. but I'd like to use as little camber as possible. So with rolling the rear fenders, I should be able to lower it at least back to where it was. I'm not going for a "hellaflush" look, but I've always loved this style wheel, and I got this particular set for a great price (that's why I was okay with the stagger).

Prelude always looked like it could pull of a staggered setup

Very nice. I wish my wheels were like that. DO you think if I get spacers, I could pull off a look like that? I'm short on money and I can't afford new rims.

Thanks man! once I get my new fender painted, and my one piece headlights in, I'll pretty much be done with exterior/interior, so I'll be moving back to adding power. Trying to atleast hit the 300whp mark by the end of the summer. I could probably pull it off on my current set up, but I'm still worried about blowing another motor. Driving a trunk for a year was no fun...

Yeah, I'm really pleased with it. Maybe when I get it 100% visually, I can get a couple pictures on SF, lol. btw, the meet was awesome man, congrats on the turn out!

I'd have to see a better picture of your rear wheel fitment. From your sig, it looks like you could at least get a more flush fitment in the rear with some spacers. I'm definitely not a fitment guru, but it's not rocket science. Start out with a small spacer and see how you like it. But remember if you do anything over like a 10mm, you need extended wheel studs. Snapping studs/wheels falling off is NEVER fun. I had it happen to me twice in 6 months on 2 different vehicles....

I like the car and the wheels. Just not together. I am glad you are doing your own thing though.

Looks good bro. I like that you didn't go with the wheels that half the crowd is going with and that your actively trying to stay away from hellaflush. I like your stance as it stands right now, but keep doing your own thing, not one anyone else tells you

More lower and camber would help a whole lot. Im also not sure if the wheel color and car color agree with each other.

Thanks everybody. I'm not the first to do it, but i'm definitely one of few (this car/wheel combo). It's a pretty low grade cell phone picture, so it's kind of washed out. Both car and wheel colors are a little deeper in person. I was at SF, if anyone saw it.

I know this definitely isn't the safe route if I was trying to please the masses, but it makes me grin everytime I walk passed the car, so I'm happy with it.

As far as low and camber, that will be addressed as soon as I find a fender roller to use for a day. If anyone has one, pm me.

Alignment coming soon. I live on campus, so I'm not driving it much until I get the alignment.

Nice man! It's about time you put them on. With more low it's going to look awesome. Your paint is looking nice and clean.

Thanks man. Funny thing is, I was alot more worried about the front wheel fitment. But now that everything is on, I'm going to have to roll the rears, and then probably lower the front a little bit and the rear alot.

Paint is almost all oem, too! Only things that have been repainted are bumpers and hood.
