I still have a soft spot for Preludes. I owned two 4th gens. You have a very clean car. I don't like the wheels personally- I think a polished wheel would do better, but that's just me. Overall she isn't bad tho.

The first and third one are some solid inspiration, although I'm not a fan of chrome wheels like that. I'm trying to do the black-on-white theme…but again, the next thing up is the optional OEM lip kit and then this summer, I will be getting lowered(finally). You know what I also need? Time! If I had time, I'd be working this semester to get money for parts. I also really want to find a flush-mounted Type-S spoiler. Do you know whose Ludes those are?(with the exception of yours)

In y'alls opinion, which one of these do you think I should do: Repair my current headlights and keep them, or put the stock headlights back in?

retrofit the stock ones with the projectors from the current. Retrofits look 100X better than stock or aftermarket in my opinion. I'll be doing my retrofit this summer when I have the time.

Thanks guys. Some updates and things to come this summer:
    OEM Optional Lip kit
Fix current lights or Retrofit OEM lights
    Real JDM Fogs
    Tint
    Possibly lower
    Subs

=simon_lude;39391677]Nice Lude and crazy lighting setup. Were these pics taken in the West(as in west coast)?
Thanks bro. No, they were not taken on the West Coast. They were taken on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I'm not sure of the name of the area there, but it's an area in NC between Cherokee and Waynesville.

Finally got some money coming my way, so I'll be taking my car to Mr.Tint in the very near future. The black front lip will go on next(I think I've decided to not paint the front and just get the sides and rear done), then the real JDM fogs will replace the current ones. After that, it will either be HID's or painting the sides and rear. I've been back and forth between holding out until I've got the money to get F&F Type 2's or just go ahead and get lowering springs. Its a hard decision. I've got 17's on it, and the front lip will be very close to the ground once installed already. If I lower it, I'll never be able to get into my driveway again. But I want to eliminate the majority of that space between the wheel and wheel well. Decisions, Decisions. Although it is ultimately my decision, thoughts, opinions, and ideas are always appreciated.

If you're worried about scrapping that much, I woundn't paint the front lip for now. Although I highly doubt you'll scrape it unless you have to jump a curve to get into your driveway. My car is lower than when you saw it at the meet (about 2.5" from the lip to the ground) and I still never scrape the lip. Cross member/flex pipe/muffler? oh yeah. But not the front lip.

Found a nice spot right off of 78 and did some impromptu photos. One thing I know: I NEED MOAR LOW. Now that that is out of the way, constructive criticism of the car and photo-taking feedback is always appreciated.

I don't know if I'd reference that as a "photoshoot." Also, warehouse loading docks aren't a flattering spot to take pictures. Also, those wheels look rough on your car. The black is just too much. And lastly, picture editing, in my opinion, is not your strong point. I hate that this is filled with all negatives, but it's just my opinions. Like the car, but, to me, the wheels hurt it. Later, QD.

allow me to take the sugar coating off this polite post.

Your car is nice. Your wheels look like horse shit, not so much because theyre ugly wheels... the wheels are decent.... but theyre not even close to fitting your car correctly. you're arguably the worst photographer ive ever seen in my life. If i duct taped my camera to my weeny dog and turned him lose in my front yard, id probably produce better photo angles than this "photoshoot". Pictures with the wheels turning away from the camera never look good.

    1. The wheels will look good, I think, once I get it lowered. But, QD, this is my car, and I'm doing it how I want to do it. Thanks for the constructive criticism though. I know I need more low. Sinfix, your first reply was really not needed. I understood what he said. I was experimenting with photo angles and effects and such, and yes, perhaps my attempt at taking pictures is a futile one, but I like trying, anyway. I was really looking for tips to improve when speaking of the photography. I don't have any training in things like photography, so I figure it out by pushing buttons and seeing what they do. So, constructive criticism is more than welcome. Photography is also a matter of opinion, so keep that in mind as well.

I will never understand why people feel the need to defend themselves when it comes to matters of opinion. I'm not an idiot and know that it's your car and I never told you how I wanted you to do your car. I simply gave my opinions on it. Later, QD.

Your first set of pictures looked good and made your car look good. Last set did did not.

I offered a tip - "pictures with the wheels turning away from the camera never look good". google search ur favorite exotic car.... every single picture will have the wheels facing the camera.

Sinfix, I stand corrected. You did offer a little bit of advice, and I appreciate it. I ask for advice purely to get ideas of what I could do. Just because I say I'm doing what I want doesn't mean that I'm not going to take suggestions and ideas from others. It is ultimately, of course, my decision of what I do. But I'm not someone who has endless ideas about what I really want to do, so I'm asking for any input to help me with ideas. See what I'm saying?

Dang, thought you said you were gonna take the sugar-coat off, not dump it in vinegar. However, the duct tape, weenie dog dog scenario was hilarious.

@OP I agree tho, your first set of photos was a lot better than these, seems like you got to jdm angle happy and editing happy too. As for the car, not a fan of the all black wheels at all, and not becuz they're black (tho that's some of it) they're just ugly to me. Rest of the car tho

Yea I agree, I've done much better as far as taking pictures goes. I appreciate the feedback, though. I personally really like the wheels, and that's why I got them. No, I'm not satisfied with the car at all right now. It needs a lot of things. But what seems to be the next thing I'm able to do will be tint, paint the OEM Lip kit and get it on, and possibly a drop. Thanks for looking. More opinions, questions, suggestions, rants, and thoughts are always welcome.

Got my shift knob and shift boot to do that conversion so I don't get so much crap for it being an auto. I know I'm gonna catch a lot of flack for this on here, but I'm doing it anyway. Plus, 2 less parts to acquire for a swap!

Planned for tomorrow is the headlight swap, slapping on my lip, putting in the shift boot and knob, and hopefully cleaning the air filter. Monday: Oil Change and seafoam to see if I can improve Crystal's efficiency because her mpg's have dramatically dropped. Im hoping to get a chance to do a special wax or something because I know at school she'll go ungodly amounts of time without getting a clean or wax.

Thanks bro! Also, last week I hit a semi tire shread on 78 because I had cars on both sides and knocked my passenger turn signal and JDM fog right out of the slot...so that's why if any of y'all go to the Gwinnett meet, you saw a space under my passenger front turn signal(which I just bought off of someone)
Here's right after it happened last Monday:

I replaced the turn signal and a replacement JDM fog is on the way.

Hate to tell you kid, but that's not going to help. In fact, it's going to look worse. Might as well embrace the fact you bought an autotragic.

Callin me kid and you're two years older..... Okay. I've seen it done, and I like it. Plain and simple. I bought the car because it had 84K on it, and for the price and miles, it was a great buy. I do regret it now, but I'd still take it over a 5-spd civic or integra any day. Hate on me all you want for saying that. I'm on the look out for a low mileage 5spd, but until I find a good one, this is what I'm rockin'.

Answer: I plan to Right now, I'm about to enter my senior year of college, and I don't have the time or money to do the swap. I'm waiting until the transmission fails on me(which it probably will, as 5G auto trannies are notorious for doing earlier than most would). As soon as that happens, this car will become a project car(probably) and get all kinds of exciting things. For now though, it's my only car. Thanks for the words of encouragement though.

Edit on the original post: Friend didn't show up as expected, so the only thing getting done today is the front lip.

I never said I didn't like the fact that it was automatic, I just said I don't like the cover-up shift boot. I think it's stupid to try to make it 'look' like a manual. It's almost as bad as the kids that manually shift through the low gear settings on an automatic because it's "like driving a 5-speed."

Fair play to you mate also it is like where i live people but GTR badges on there GTS Skyline models and this is hated by owners of those and other models so certain faetures can divide folks.I guess there is a lot of people jumping on automatics yet have never really driven them or at least driven a good one and myelf had that thought many moons ago when i borrowed a Merc automatic which i found boring and hated all automatics for years, but after driving and owning some different ones i found out they are not all the same and have driven some bad manuals along the way also.
Help out at Import garage so get to play in great rides and handle car parts could it get better than this.
