The way it drives is phenomenal. No effort to move, and getting out into traffic is a breeze. I've taken it to the track when they run 1/8th mile from the asphault end, untimed, and suprised a lot of folks with how quick it is.

I'd love to take credit for this swap, but I got it like this... thanks for the compliments though!

It has a 4L60E for the trans and just the factory rear end. Autos aren't too hard on the rear ends, plus I've heard the pumpkin in these are strong as a Ford 9" (it's held, but how true that is, I don't know)

I wish! At this point, I have the LSx Benz, S13 that's in progress, and an extra LMG laying around.

Obviously it can go... How does it stop? Those have disc brakes front and rear right? I can't remember and too lazy to Google.

    BTW: Love the car.

And it cruises super easily now. It's not a built old SBC, it's a stock, current, efficient swap that increases driveability and reliability.

Ruined a classic Mercedes but if you like it that's all that matters.

    I'd ride in it though.

I wasn't sure about that swap at first, but if you're keepin the LS pretty stock and not trying to make it some ridiculous sleeper type car I can kind of understand the swap for reliability and efficiency. Love the look though.

I keep having the crazy idea of buying the biggest turbo I can realistically put on it, and going for 550whp, but I keep remembering my S13 project and talking myself out of it. lol

I think it's awesome. Nothing wrong with putting in a better modern drivetrain. I don't think it takes away the class of the car at all.

I wouldn't actually be too bad if it sat a little higher and maybe a different style Mercedes wheel.

    I still wanna ride.

That's my thinking on the matter! The new AMG line up is classy but balls to the wall fast... why can't this be classy and quick?
