    Default My new old car

I haven't been posting on here nearly as much since I moved out of Atlanta, but figured I'd share my new baby.

I actually picked this up about a year ago, but finally got around to snapping some of my own pictures of it. Please note that these were taken with a point and shoot camera, and I am not looking for critiques on the photos themselves.

The sixth tree from the right in the third picture looks pretty cool. How that one limb just pokes out like it's pointing at you.

The car looks great too, Deke. Later, QD.

Haha, yeah, it sure isn't a 429. It's honestly kind of slow (don't get me wrong it's still fun). I think a nice T5 and steeper rear end gears would wake it up a lot.

Yeah it's almost there appearance wise. I'm going to have to get a paint job eventually, and I plan on using that opportunity to give it the full Bullitt treatment (getting rid of all the emblems, painting some of the chrome).

Awesome, I feel like I may have seen a picture floating around here a time or two. What's the story with yours?

As far as my plans, it's going to be a slow gradual process. I honestly don't have any intentions of selling this car, so I have no problem taking my time. Like I said, T5 and steeper gearing (more fun and the engine won't be racing on the interstate). Originally I was thinking of doing an engine swap for a 5.0 efi, but now, I think I'm just gong run the current one into the ground and then see from there, whenever that might be. Other than that, the basic goal is just to keep it fairly stock and classic looking, but make it a more drivable car (3-point harness, decent stereo, sport seat upgrade, maybe rack and pinion, etc.). I have no interest in concours, so I'd say I'm shooting more for an "understated restomod."
