    Default ***My painting piece by piece...***

    I switched projects earlier this year when the chance came up to purchase a eg hatch.
    I have always wanted one and it was a bare rolling shell. Perfect for me to build from the ground up the way I want to.
    Special thanks to Ricky, Johnny, Brett, and Jamal. Without you guys i wouldnt be where im at now.
    Here is where im at...her name is Layla...



    When i first got her














    Decided to paint the engine bay before the motor was dropped in...









    Then the trans was bolted up to the motor...





    Then the motor being dropped in and turbo assembly...









    Then we took apart the turbo etc for new gasket and to clean it out...



    See what color it was?



    See what it should be?



    Before..



    After...



    Gasket i got for the downpipe...



    Here is the assembled CF hatch, Duckbill and glass...



    Then out with the old fuel pump...in with the new walbro...





    ...Picked up wires to reroute the battery and axles..



    Dirty IC piping...



    Clean IC piping...



    Assembled IC piping and intercooler...





    Look at the clearance between turbo and radiator...haha



    Dirty hatch..



    2 Hours of cleaning later...



    Her first time driven out of the garage )))

    Looks great man! So since you're close, we need to meet up when the hatch/prelude are on the road. Also, what are you polishing with? I need to clean up my turbo (same one i believe), and a few more aluminum parts.

    We will def have to meet up. my buddy brought over some stuff they use on airplanes haha so i have no idea what it is. I can find out though.

    very nice but I have a issue why the gold color on top of trans but the rest isn't painted nor motor?

    That gold color on the trans was like that when i got it. If i would have thought about it before and been more patient then i would have taken care of that random gold spot and id have a matching engine/trans lol

    Warning on the Ebay pressure plate...

    650 miles on a new clutch set up. Launched from a stop. ran through 1st, missed second, caught 2nd, tried 3rd, locked out of all gears. Here is why.
