    Not true. I ran the texas mile in March and whhile there a z06 flipped over while going 232 mph. He crossed the finish line at 202 upside down...someone was praying for him because his roof because he only had a 4pt roll bar.

    Great event, but some people only consider high HP but nothing in terms of safety. There was a Ford GT (Mullet) and he would run 223 all day and night without a cage...only a helmet. WTF????

    You know what I mean, exception vs. rule. For the most part, cars are safer at any speed, and I raced bikes for 20+ years. I know plenty that have been killed on bikes at speeds under 100, even under 50. Hell, I spent 3 weeks on life support from a 40MPH bike wreck. At the end of the day, so many legit 200MPH street cars would never pass ECTA tech. Going those speeds in an unprotected car carry a risk, and most of us have taken that risk at some point. The drivers know this and accept this. I'd rather see folks doing these runs here, than on the interstate.
