Default 1990 Db1 Content Inside .:: Mild build thread::.

Purchased this db1 for $950 running from the 2nd owner. Older gentleman that took very good care of the car with alot of papers dating back to the first oil change. Finally, after years of searching for a good Db1 platform to build, found the right one.

Car does have minor things that need to be fixed/replaced/etc. I drove it home from Stone Mountain to Macon and the alternator barely made it.

    Alternator getting replaced.

Pretty clean engine bay for a 20+yr old car.

Interior wise you can tell it been well kept. Only fallback is the carpet it shot. It'll just have to do until I can find another one from a parts car or online somewhere. Everything just needs a good cleaning which I plan to do on my next day off. Front seats have no wear, tear, rips, burns, etc. I was highly suprised of this for its age.

Excuse the mess in the passenger side floorboard.

As far as the body goes, it amazes me that is no dents or major body damage. So far I've only noticed a few dings from parking lot wars I imagine. Another things I'm stoked about is the fact its an RS. Seem to be alittle harder to come by over the GS plus its a 5-speed. No conversion needed here.

I'll have plenty more pictures as progress gets done. Its going to be a DD project, so nothing extreme will happen for now. Basic lowering, get the old window tint off, wheels, OE lip, etc.

    Stay tuned.

Ran a test the other day at the shop to see if their were any leaks, checked out fine. Their is no belt on the compressor but I'll be buying one VERY soon and see what happens. If the compressor is bad, I'll just buy another one but A/C will be a must.

Like I said, I'm going to keep it plain and simple. Just clean it up a good bit and start searching for hard-to-find parts, etc. And.. As soon as I got this one, within a couple days... I seen 2 pop up for sale. lol. Niether of those were RS and have black interior, though.

Gs had power everything, sunroof, etc. Rs was pretty much base model but they're lighter and actually a tad bit more hard to find.

Everytime I drive it, I notice how lucky I am with the interior. lol. First one I've seen since I searched all those years with solid black interior at that. And, we'll see about that A/c here soon... it'll be on the lift at my job tommorrow. I did run a vacumn test to check for leaks and it held so, hoping maybe its just the belt popped off and no one decided to fix it. lol.

    Also, updates coming this weekend.
