i did it for me, because i appreciate it. this is the only 'cheaply' done thing on my car. everything else on it is quality parts and work. i'm not mad you dont like it, i expected it, especially from you, if you liked it, THEN i would have been worried lol.
i'm one that doesnt like to see painted OEM wheels, but these were gouged to all hell, so it didnt phase me to try something out on them.silver or gunmetal would've been 100x better. Crazy colors only look good on baller wheels imo.
naw, what you see with this color, is what you get. as far as purple, once i grow tired of the look, itll get resprayed. these are my daily wheels so i'm far from worried about switching the colors on them to maintain interest with them. when the time arrives for me to get new wheels..believe me..itll be worth itIf you car has a pearl to it then maybe you can add a metallic clearcoat, it might darken it up too.
i LOVED that satin black...it really took alot for me to keep on spraying after i laid down that coat, but that was a primer coat so i left it as is...but the gloss..it was ok, wasnt really my thing because everyone has the black painted wheelsThe black coat looked really good and I "hate" black wheels.
