haha fair enough. there are guys that size with miatas. Definitely not the most comfortable thing to DD though if you're built like that.

that picture. FAP. If/when I ever get another set of wheels, I'll probably do them a dark dark bronze. Depends on the style of the wheel though I guess.

I am kinda with the others on the wheels. Car looks cool, wheels look cool, the purple kills it. Different is good, most of the time. This is not one of those times. Greens a tough color to not do gold or black with. Give white a whirl. Sometimes "less is more"

I was on the fence about the Purple. Green is a tough color to get wheels for. I do like the purple, as I've said and also as I've said I think it does look a lot better in person. Anyone who's seen it during the day in person has told me they liked it.

I spent a lot of time doing prep work and painting and polishing and about $109 on paint so I'm gonna stick with the purple until I go with a new set of wheels.
then I might do white, or dark bronze, or satin or something.

    Mini update:

hacked up my driver's seat today till I can afford the corbeau's I want:

put in an amp to my speakers.
took off the eyelids, and a lot of stickers.
fixed an exhaust leak, remade my exhaust with a magnaflow glasspack before the muffler to quiet it down some.
fixed the header rattling against the firewall.
    LED gauge lights.
probable some other stuff I'm forgetting.

nah man, gotta have my drop top. thanks though. Looks pretty slick from the scan of your build thread.
If I ever get rid of the miata it's gonna be for a TJ Wrangler. I had a YJ before the Miata and as much as I hated that particular jeep (33's with a 4banger and 4.10 gears, hate the square headlights on YJ's, seats were uncomfortable as hell, it was body lifted instead of suspension lifted, wheels were ugly as sin, near bald all terrains etc.), I miss having one like hell. I love going fast but damnit cars are too damn expensive to do so. (Distant) future plans are to have a Wrangler built the way I want it and an R6 or something along those lines.

custom fiberglass center console in progress.

Will house an 8" sub that will sit between the seats. the backing piece of the mold has been re done to work better. the piece shown was a sloppy mock up to check for fit. I'll post more pics once I finish it. Probably after Christmas.

A box thrown in the trunk with no regard?

you said the trunk lid holds it in place doesn't it? sounds like it works out pretty well to me haha.

yeah I mean the wheels were what I liked best that I could afford. I'm sure there were other options I would have liked better, but I'm not up on wheels like a lot of people around here are. I wanna get rid of these but when I do it'll be for some RPF1's, 6UL's, TE37's or some SSR type C's. It's gonna be a long time till I can afford any of those though.

I believe there's pics in here of them test fitted on the car with no tires while they were still gold. Dunno if you've gone through the whole thread or not but I think they're there if you wanted to see them in gold.

more progress on the center console:

I coated it with resin to prep for the glass and it ate into the high density foam which is odd. That's never happened before. I'll be remaking the mold from wood after Christmas but that's what it will ultimately look like.

got a new-to-me top off an Mazdaspeed Miata. Loving the huge ass back window that zips down, and it's really nice not to have a giant hole in the passenger side. Also so glad it's black cloth instead of vinyl so it's actually black instead of faded grey.

    shitty cell pic.

best part? got it for 200 bucks on a frame. All I had to do was swap in my rain rail and drop it in.

Not even the MSM's? My buddy picked it up from miata afterworld for me and he told me the guy said it was from an MSM. Must've been a replacement?
I mean it doesn't zip fully out, just folds down flat like the NA's plastic windows do.

"Zips down" would imply that there is a zipper holding the window to the top. Zipper + glass = not OEM. Doesn't mean it's bad, just means it's been replaced.

Mine's still in good shape... I get to see it about twice a year when I get caught in a rainstorm. But I hate that it's vinyl.

yeah, first car I've owned that didn't leak. My Z32 had a slight leak on the t tops, my wrangler....well it was a wrangler lol, my silverado had a bad window seal and finally i've got the miata sealed up haha.

and no I haven't. funds have been tight. and I just turned 21 last month so I've been spending a fair bit on alcohol lol.
